Kanye West’s July 4 show at risk of CANCELLATION as furious San Antonio mayor blasts rapper’s antisemitic past

Kanye West’s planned July 4 show at the Alamodome is under threat after the mayor of San Antonio, Texas blasted his history of antisemitism. West, 49, went into career freefall in 2022 after making a series of antisemitic remarks on his popular social platforms and via media appearances, losing a number of high-profile business relationships. While West has since issued a public mea culpa for his despicable remarks, his upcoming high-profile performance is at risk of being shelved. ‘Military City USA should not host someone with a record of hate speech and antisemitic comments in a city-funded facility like our Alamodome,’ Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones said in an X post on Saturday. She continued, ‘Not ever, and certainly not on July 4th, our Nation’s 250th birthday.’Ortiz Jones said that ‘standing up to antisemitism is exactly what it takes to achieve a more perfect Union.’The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for West for comment. Her comments come after West was banned from performing in Italy, while a number of other recent and upcoming concerts have faced pushback from politicians around the world.  Kanye West’s planned July 4 show at the Alamodome is under threat after the mayor of San Antonio, Texas blasted his history of antisemitism.
