Ibiza is famous for its legendary party scene, glamorous beach clubs and golden sandy beaches – but all that fun comes at a price.Now, new research by holiday site Sundeals has revealed a Spanish alternative that could offer a similar experience for 40 per cent less.Lloret de Mar, on Spain’s Costa Brava, has plenty to tempt Ibiza fans, from lively beach clubs and buzzing nightlife to boutique hotels and beautiful beaches.But unlike Ibiza, it also offers a quieter, more sophisticated side, with plenty of opportunities to escape the crowds and relax by the sea.And with package holidays starting from just £119 per person, Sundeals has dubbed it ‘one of the best-value Ibiza alternatives many Brits are yet to discover’. Instead of holidaying in Ibiza, travellers can save 45 per cent by heading to Lloret de MarHolidaymakers could save even more money once they land in the Spanish destination. Beach club sunbeds, for example, cost around €45 each which is €15 cheaper than Ibiza, where they’re typically priced over €60 in many of the most popular beach clubs.  As for dining out, a three-course meal for two costs around €50 in Lloret de Mar – €30 less than in Ibiza. Local beer averages at just €3. Kevin Nelson, managing director at Sundeals, said: ‘Many people immediately think of Ibiza when they’re looking for beach clubs, boutique hotels and warm Mediterranean evenings, but there are destinations that offer many of those same experiences while delivering much stronger value.’Lloret has evolved into far more than a traditional beach resort. Don’t fancy an island? Try the mainland… New research by TravelSupermarket found that tourists are paying an ‘island premium’ of £134 per person for a week on average.
