A Massachusetts high school is in mourning after the death of its football captain at the age of just 17.Marblehead High School announced on Friday that senior Owen Coyne, a three-sport athlete, had passed away from a ‘sudden brain hemorrhage’ not caused by impact – just months after he committed to play football for Williams College.Coyne leaves behind his parents, Angela Paradise and Brian Coyne, and siblings Grady, Landon and Ella. Coyne was a wide receiver who received offers from a number of schools before committing to play for Williams. He served as Marblehead co-captain and was also part of the school’s varsity baseball and track teams.’That we will never see our Owie pursue his college dreams after working so very hard throughout high school to earn his spot at Williams is beyond heartbreaking,’ his mother told the Marblehead Current.’Owen, you were truly a gift — the BEST gift—to all of us. I am so grateful that I am your mom.’Angela Paradise continued: ‘Words cannot convey how sorry (and gutted and angry and shattered and confused) I am that you were robbed of your beautiful life with us — and with SO much promise ahead.’
