It’s that time of the year again – the transfer window is now open until September 1 and it’s sure to be a busy period as clubs look to make big signings ahead of the new season.Here are today’s latest developments from Simon Jones and the Daily Mail Sport team…Villa and Marseille keen on Chelsea’s Tosin – after he loses No4 shirtAston Villa hold interest in Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo but face competition from Marseille.Adarabioyo is one of a number of options being considered by Unai Emery.The 6ft 5ins centre-back had been willing to stay at Stamford Bridge and fight for his place but it is becoming apparent it would be in his career’s best interests to explore a move away where he would have a more prominent role.Villa have been assessing names throughout the window after it became clear Arsenal would pursue Ezri Konsa who is likely to wrap up his £51m move to the champions by the weekend.Adarabioyo also has other other clubs to consider.Marseille have made contact with Chelsea and are deemed most likely to pursue a move as it stands. Tosin Adarabioyo signs a shirt for a fan in Hong Kong on Chelsea’s pre-season tourSevilla are also keen as are Marco Silva’s Benfica but are not considered as strong as Marseille and Villa.Other clubs are also now showing interest in the 28-year-old who joined as a free agent after leaving Fulham in 2024.In another ominous sign, Adarabioyo has also lost his shirt number in a squad list reshuffle.Formerly No 4, Adarabioyo will now wear No 38. New signing Valentin Barco takes his old shirt.Liam Delap is no longer No 9 and will wear No 12,with Joao Pedro taking the No 9.Chslsea bag Hearts’ Osborne Chelsea have signed 17-year-old centre-back Alfie Osborne from Hearts for £400,000.Osborne captained Hearts’ U18s to the Scottish FA Youth Cup and has also captained Scotland’s U19s.Reijnders seals Saudi moveManchester City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders has joined Al Qadsiah for £52m.Reijnders will work under Brendan Rodgers at Al Qadsiah.The 28-year-old, who has an offer from Nottingham Forest also, only joined City from AC Milan last summer for £46.3m and made 50 appearances, scoring seven goals. Tijjani Reijnders is leaving Manchester City after just one seasonClarets land Coudet Burnley have signed goalkeeper Gregoire Coudet from French side Brest on a permanent deal. The 27-year-old has signed a four-year contract.Norwich City have signed Fenerbahce winger Anthony Musaba on a season’s loan.The Championship club will pay a proportion of the 25-year-old’s salary after finding a replacement for Ali Ahmed following his knee injury.Inter hopeful of £30m deal for Jones Liverpool and Inter Milan have resumed talks over a deal for Curtis Jones today, initiated by the Italian side.There is currently no agreement for the 25-year-old but terms are being discussed.Something in line with the package and structure Inter utilised to sign Tottenham defender Djed Spence – €35m (£30m) – will likely see a deal agreed for the midfielder between the clubs.However, club sources underline these are verbal negotiations at present, and no actual agreement has been reached.Toffees consider Cash grabEverton are showing interest in Aston Villa right back Matty Cash as they assess all options in the market.Villa are signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka from West Ham today and he is being brought in to increase competition for Cash in the right-back berth. Poland international Cash has three years left on contract.Everton have been working through a raft of names to try and solve their issue at right-back which has even prompted questions from Prime Minister Andy Burnham.Barca keep tabs on KaneBarcelona are monitoring Harry Kane’s contract talks with Bayern Munich.The England captain is giving priority to resolving his future with the German champions where he is settled and discussions are ongoing about the length of deal for the 33-year-old.Kane is understood to want a three year deal and, as Daily Mail Sport revealed earlier this summer, Barca have made their interest known.Read the full story here. The England international is open to the move but so far Villa have rejected their advances and want to keep the 30-year-old.
