We’ve been waiting over a year and they keep saying, “Yeah, it’s going to be ready”.  Katie Price has said she is struggling to care for her terminally ill mother Amy while having son Harvey at home as she opened up on Thursday Katie is also helping look after her mother Amy, 73, who was diagnosed with an incurable condition, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), in 2017 and had a lung transplant in 2022’But in between there was a place he went to and he absolutely hated it there and would message me, “Mommy, how long till you’re here? I hate it here”. And I don’t want to see him upset. So, I chose to bring him home. ‘I’m on my 11th week with him at home, bearing in mind I only have help on a Monday and a Friday and now because I’ve got mum, trying to do that and work, I can’t keep taking half with me to work it’s unprofessional because he wants my attention all the time.’She added that ‘Harvey wakes me up in the night’ and she has now asked for help from a care agency. ‘They’re going to get some carers in because I’m like if he was at that residential he has two to one on him 24 hours and it shouldn’t be any different here just because he’s at home,’ she added. ‘He’s only at home because he didn’t like it that much at that residential. He’s so excited to go to his flat and I’ve got my mom’s situation, trying to work and I’ve got Harv, it’s hard, it’s a juggle.’ It comes days after Katie revealed she is battling sciatica as a result of her ‘life-changing’ foot injury six years ago.The former glamour model broke bones in both of her feet after falling from a 25-foot wall during a sunshine break in Turkey in July 2020.She underwent multiple surgeries in a bid to fix the damage but was left unable to walk for six months. And in a video shared to Instagram, Katie told how she is still suffering from the effects of the devastating fall as she opened up about her sciatica – a condition which occurs when the roots of the sciatic nerve – which runs from the lower back down through the hips and legs – become inflamed or compressed. The former glamour model revealed her son Harvey, 24, who battles a series of debilitating conditions, is currently living with her after waiting over a year for his new flat to be readyWhile promoting CBD oil, Katie read out a message from a customer who used the oil to alleviate symptoms from sciatica, with Katie noting: ‘I can relate to this’.Discussing her nerve pain, she continued: ‘I know I always say about my foot injury because it really was life changing for me.’So I have regular massage, because my hips are always a bit out of shape. And in the side where he does my bum, it’s the sciatica which goes down the leg.’In the caption of the video, which was to promote her SupremeCBD products, Katie touched further on her condition, stating: ‘I’ve been dealing with sciatica myself, so when I received a message from someone saying they also struggle with it and have found SupremeCBD oils helpful as part of their routine, I could genuinely relate.’It’s amazing when you realise you’re not the only one dealing with something, and that’s exactly why I love hearing from you all and sharing what works for me.’The mother-of-five, who was still sporting bruises from her most recent surgery, added that taking the oil had become part of her ‘daily routine’, adding that the oil helps especially ‘on those days when my sciatica is giving me a hard time’.Sciatica is relatively common, striking around three million Britons each year, and affecting as many as four in ten people over the course of their lifetime. It can cause shooting pains, a sensation of cramp and can be so severe it leaves someone unable to walk. And while in most cases it clears up on its own within a few months, the pain in the meantime can be extreme – and, for some sufferers, completely debilitating.NHS guidelines recommend a stepwise approach for sciatica, starting with over-the-counter painkillers, then moving to weak opioids, drugs for nerve-related pain such as gabapentin and, in some cases, epidural injections. In the most severe cases, patients may even undergo surgery to decompress the nerve.
