Richard Madeley called out weathergirl Laura Tobin for being late after she ‘vanished’ during Good Morning Britain on Monday.The ITV host, 70, was seconds away from handing over the show to the meteorologist, 44, who was due to present the weather.But he quickly noticed Laura was missing from the studio after she was late to make it back following an impromptu trip to the toilet during a commercial break. He said: ‘We have a vanishing weather girl,’ before co-presenter Ranvir Singh, 48, gasped: ‘Oh!’ Richard continued: ‘Laura is supposed to be here to do the weather… echoing silence!’Ranvir said: ‘Where is she hiding? She will be here in a minute,’ while trying to remain calm. Here she is.’He asked Laura: ‘Did you lose your sense of timing?’Admitting she nipped to the bathroom during a break, Laura joked: ‘I just nipped to the loo, now everyone knows’. A similar incident occurred last week after Kate Garraway was caught trying to sneak back into the GMB studio.The broadcaster, 59, was presenting the show with Adil Ray and during the commercial break had attempted to nip to the loo. Yet unfortunately her toilet break was mistimed, with Kate forced to try and creep back onto the sofa while Adil was interviewing Strictly’s Amy Dowden and Carlos Gu about their time on Celebrity Hunted. A package flashed up on the screen showing their time on the show when Amy suddenly trailed off and a slight commotion was heard. Amy then exclaimed: ‘Oh, good morning!’ as the camera cut back to Kate sliding onto the sofa. Looking flustered, Kate responded: ‘I’m so sorry… I took a little bit too long in the shower, in the loo,’ before bursting into hysterical laughter. It’s alright, we’re here now.’Amid the UK’s ongoing heatwave, almost half of England has been placed in drought. Some areas have not seen rain in 43 days and temperatures soared again to 34C on Wednesday. The seven areas declared to be in drought are London and Hertfordshire – where the GMB offices are based – the Thames Valley, East Anglia, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, Devon and Cornwall, the West Midlands, and Wessex (covering Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire and south Gloucestershire).
