The girlfriend of Paul Gascoigne’s son has shared a scan picture of her ‘aggressive and incurable’ brain tumour and of her scar as she tries to raise £320,000 to spend more time with her five-year-old son Teddy.On Tuesday former footballer Paul’s son Mason pleaded for help after his girlfriend Jaimee Sharp was diagnosed with the tumour aged just 28. Mason is trying to raise money for treatment for her in America so that she has more time with their little one.And on Wednesday Jaimee took to Instagram to share a look at her journey as she uploaded a video featuring a picture of one of her scans and a scar after a surgery.Jaimee has already undergone major brain surgery to remove as much of the tumour as possible. She penned in the caption of her post: ‘Everyone deserves as much time as possible. Please keep showing as much love and support as you are.’At the time of writing they have raised £172,257 of the £320,000 that they need. I’m 28 years old and a mum to my 5 year old little boy, Teddy.’As well as a mum, I am a daughter, a sister, a partner, and a friend.’My whole life changed when I was diagnosed with an aggressive and incurable form of brain cancer (IDH1-Mutant, CNS WHO grade 4 Astrocytoma).’I’ve undergone major brain surgery to remove as much of the tumour as possible, and now going through Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy treatment.’Unfortunately, with this type of cancer, even after the standard treatment the tumour will progress and no one can predict how quickly. The median survival rate is about 5 years.’She continued: ‘More than anything, I desperately want more time with my little boy. Being Teddy’s mummy is my whole reason for existence. And I’m not ready to say goodbye.’Jaimee has been given a ‘glimmer of hope’ because she has been offered a rare opportunity to take part in a clinical trial at a hospital in Ohio for a new drug for a tumour like hers.She needs £320,516 to give her ‘a realistic chance of completing this trial’ and needs to raise the amount in just one month. Jaimee penned: ‘I accept that there is no cure for my cancer, but there is an opportunity for more time – and I need that.’I need to watch my son’s smiles and laughter on more Christmas mornings. To be there for more birthdays, and to watch him become the young man I’ve always imagined.
