A Place In The Sun host Laura Hamilton stunned in a blue bikini as she showed off the new family-sized hot tub she’s had put into her huge garden The TV star, 44, took to Instagram on Friday to give a home update and showed off her youthful figureShe shares son Rocco, 12, and daughter Tahlia, 11, with her ex-husband Alex Goward and the hard-working star wasted no time in getting back to her travelling duties shortly after welcoming each of her children. In an interview last month, Laura told how the ‘midwives thought I was nuts’ when she immediately called the passport office to get her newborn son a passport not long after giving birth. She went on to say that she ‘went back to work when they were three weeks old’, explaining how the tots ‘travelled with me pretty much full time until they started school’.But opening up to Ateh Jewel on this week’s HELLO! Second Act podcast, Laura recalled that it wasn’t just in the hospital that people had a strong reaction to her work ethic, but on social media too. Discussing the backlash she faced for bringing her young children with her on her travels, Laura shared: ‘People would go, ‘oh it would be nice if she spent more time with her kids.”We should never be judged for the choices that we make. We just do what we think is right for us. That doesn’t mean it’s the right way, doesn’t mean it’s the wrong way.’The presenter continued: ‘I might be Rocco and Tahlia’s mum, but I’m still Laura. I was somebody before I had them, and I didn’t want to lose that.’The trolling affected her so much that Laura vowed to keep her new relationship private following the scrutiny she faced during her marriage to her former partner, whom she split from in January 2022 after 13 years together. Perching on the side of the hot tub in the post, she penned in the caption of the ad: ‘A huge thank you to Bullfrog Spas and Aqua Hot Tubs for looking after me every step of the way…’ She added: ‘You can watch more of my journey on my YouTube channel. I took the conscious decision that when my relationship ended, going forward, I would never talk about future relationships.’She added: ‘I am seeing somebody’ before noting: ‘but I’m very mindful and respectful.’Despite the breakdown of the marriage, Laura looked positively at the situation, explaining to Ateh: ‘After I got divorced I don’t say ‘that chapter is closed’ I just say, well, that’s that chapter.’And actually we’re moving forward to the next part of my story. We are just continually moving forward. We have children, we are part of each other’s lives forever. And ultimately with co-parenting,’I think you can never, ever forget it’s the children that are the most important. They are at the core of everything I do.’Laura and Alex, who married in 2012, reportedly reached ‘breaking point’ during lockdown when they were forced to spend more time together.Laura has since hit back at those who have claimed their co-parenting set up is ‘sad for the children’, according to the Mirror. She told the publication: ‘I really don’t like it when people comment and go, ”Oh, it’s sad for the children!”’Why is it sad for children? Actually, it is brilliant for the child that they get to spend time with both parents – and that both parents are happier!’Laura has also recently admitted she could never give up her career, even though juggling motherhood and travel can be ‘chaotic’.Talking to The Sun, Laura said: ‘I have every respect for anyone who’s a full-time mum, I just couldn’t do that. I love my career as well as being a mum, and I’ve managed to find a way to make it work.’The presenter, who co-parents with her ex, revealed she plans her filming schedule around when her children are with their dad, using that time to focus fully on work. She credited her employer for allowing her to travel with her kids when possible, describing herself as ‘incredibly lucky’ to have the flexibility.
