Tottenham have agreed a deal worth £85million for Manchester City winger Savinho.The fee is £75m plus a further £10m in potential add-ons, a record sale for City.Savinho’s arrival will push Spurs’ spending this summer past £300m, although they have recouped about £140m through the sales of Cristian Romero, Djed Spence and Luka Vuskovic.They plan to spend even further however as talks continue over the purchase of Omar Marmoush from City and Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo is among their other targets.Daily Mail Sport first revealed Spurs’ bid to sign Savinho on May 25 and the Brazilian agreed to the move early on but City’s valuation is understood to have fluctuated owing to the inflated prices in the market.They have also been working to add a replacement with Allan Elias of Palmeiras now in their sights. Savinho, 22, will have a medical before signing a long-term contract. The Brazilian’s move has been over 12 months in the making, with Spurs first attempting to sign him last summer. After finishing a second-consecutive season 17th in the Premier League, Tottenham have recruited bullishly this summer in a bid to stop the rot. Spurs have spent £185m on bolstering their midfield with the eye-catching signings of Sandro Tonali from Newcastle, and West Ham’s Matheus Fernandes, with the club’s business not yet finished.
