A new major champion has been crowned at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania as Englishman Aaron Rai has won the PGA Championship.
Rai entered the day in a crowded five-way tie for second among a congested top of the leaderboard, but managed to pull off a final-round 65 to cement his name in golf history.
After sinking the final putt of his tournament, the two-gloved native of Wolverhampton walked off the green in a moment of subtle triumph.
Rai saluted the crowd before strolling into the arms of his wife, Gaurika Bishnoi. The couple shared a long embrace before she took his face into her hands and kissed him.
It’s a special moment for the golfing power couple – as Bishnoi has some serious game of her own, which only strengthens their bond as husband and wife.

The two met for the first time due to their shared interests in the sport – and Rai’s mother had a key role to play.
Bishnoi and her brother were serving as volunteers at a golf event, following Rai’s group, and she happened to get chatting with his mother, Dalvir Shukla. Reportedly, the proud mother told her to wait behind after the round and said ‘I want you to meet my son’.
Rai has previously praised Bishnoi for being a positive impact on his game.
‘It’s hard for me to really sum up how much of an effect she’s had on me as a person, and also that actually feeds into my golf,’ Rai said, per The Mirror.
After Rai had Bishnoi on the bag for the Par-3 contest, he even returned the favor for her during an event she was competing in.

When Bishnoi hit that shot at the Masters Par-3 contest, she was identified as his wife – but her name was not known.
In reality, the couple hadn’t yet gotten married – only tying the knot in July of 2025.

Rai reflected on 2025 as one of the most important years of his life, according to The Mirror.
‘This year has been truly special with us getting married, caddying for her, being with her, getting married, practicing and playing together,’ Rai told the outlet.
‘It’s just a peaceful thing to be able to share different parts of our lives with one another and being with each other every step of the way. Yeah, very special.’
