It’s that time of the year again – the transfer window is now open until September 1 and it’s sure to be a busy period with clubs looking to make big signings ahead of next season. Here are today’s latest developments from Simon Jones and the Daily Mail Sport team…Preston’s £6m Devine interventionTottenham midfielder Alfie Devine has sealed a permanent move to Preston after his loan spell last season. The deal for the 21-year-old is worth up to £6million – a club record – and is being paid in instalments.Devine had a productive spell at Deepdale last season and established himself as a crowd favourite, scoring eight times in 48 matches.Devine, who has signed a five-year contract, said: ‘From the end of last season going into the summer, it was always a priority in terms of where I wanted to be. It took its time, but I’m delighted it’s gone through.’ Devine also had interest from other Championship clubs and Celtic.Spurs have a sell-on clause for 20 per cent of any profit for the man who remains their youngest ever goalscorer, a record set in an FA Cup clash against Marine when he was 16 years and 163 days old in January 2021.  Alfie Devine in pre-season action for Tottenham against Reading last summerLiverpool waiting game on Mexico starlet Mora Liverpool have been credited with making an enquiry for Mexico youngster Gilberto Mora.However, Daily Mail Sport understands that the Anfield club have not activated any interest in the 17-year-old from Tijuana, as it stands.The attacking midfielder, who can play off the left wing too, impressed in moments during the World Cup and is drawing attention from a number of European clubs.Philogene joins Gravenberch and Co at Team RaiolaIpswich Town winger Jaden Philogene is linking up with Team Raiola.The agency, which looks after the likes of Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch, Micky van de Ven at Spurs and Gianluigi Donnarumma at Manchester City, are poised to confirm they have signed the 24-year-old later today.Philogene joined Ipswich from Aston Villa for £20m last year.He played a key role in their promotion from the Championship scoring 13 goals in 37 appearances last season and is attracting interest from other Premier League sides plus others in Europe.Ipswich are signing forward Emersonn from Toulouse this week who arrived in London on Tuesday ahead of his medical. Jadon Philogene signed for Ipswich from Aston Villa in a 20m deal last suymmerArsenal close in on Meslier deal Arsenal are closing on agreement with goalkeeper Illan Meslier following the expiry of his contract at Leeds United.The 26-year-old lost his place as Leeds No1 following a loss of form but had been tipped for a bright future when he first established himself at Elland Road.He hopes a move to Arsenal can reignite his career albeit as deputy to David Raya.Last month Daily Mail Sport reported Arsenal’s interest in the 6ft 7in Frenchman and he is finalising terms with the Premier League champions.Arsenal made their play for the free agent as Kepa Arrizabalaga is exploring a move away and can leave for his £5m clause.Leeds are trying to convince Karl Darlow to re-sign but face competition from Everton and Manchester United.They have also enquired for Zion Suzuki at Parma.Arsenal also have clubs enquiring to take their England U21 keeper Tommy Setford on loan. Illan Meslier is expected to challenge David Raya at the English championsDuran off to Celtic Celtic are signing Qarabag forward Camilo Duran for £3million with a further £2m due in add-ons.The 24-year-old scored 15 goals last season including five in the Champions League.He is expected to arrive in the UK this week to have a medical and finalise details on his contract.Brentford complete £17m Anthony dealBrentford have completed the signing of Burnley winger Jaidon Anthony.The deal is worth up to £17million including add-ons. The 26-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the option for a further 12 months.Bournemouth hold a 15 per cent sell-on from the time they sold Anthony to Burnley in 2025.Hull targeting new sporting directorOkan Ozkan has emerged as a candidate to succeed Jared Dublin as sporting director at Hull City.The 35-year-old formerly worked at Fenerbahce and has been with Polish side Pogon Szczecin.He is expected to hold further talks with Hull in the next 24 hours.Stones on Juventus radarJuventus are among the clubs showing interest in England defender John Stones.The 32-year-old is a free agent after leaving Manchester City and has a number of suitors but key will be his wage demands as Juventus have a limited budget.Burnley finalising deal for HayenGenk manager Nicky Hayen is finalising terms over becoming Burnley’s new manager.The Belgian, who previously managed Welsh side Haverfordwest County, is expected to join up with his new team in time for the opening game of their pre-season tour of North America against FC Cincinnati on Friday.Charles closing in on City returnManchester City are closing on a deal to sign goalkeeper Pierce Charles from Sheffield Wednesday.The 20-year-old was on City’s books as a teenager prior to moving to Hillsborough. He will be brought in as cover with James Trafford looking to move on after the World Cup. Newcastle remain attentive to Trafford’s situation.QPR are keen to take Charles on loan from City once he completes his move.Charles is the younger brother of Southampton midfielder Shea Charles, who is a target for Leeds United.Dragusin departs SpursRadu Dragusin has completed his move from Tottenham to Fiorentina.Dragusin will leave Spurs, who retain a 10 per cent sell-on clause which is on the profit of any potential future sale, initially on loan for a year with an obligation for the move to become permanent.The Italian Serie A club, where former Spurs sporting director Fabio Paratici is in charge of recruitment, will pay an initial loan fee of just over £1million for the 24-year-old followed by a transfer fee of £15m. That figure could rise to £21.4m if Dragusin plays a set number if games.It represents a significant loss on the Romania centre half who joined Spurs from Genoa for £26.7million in January 2024. Radu Dragusin is leaving Tottenham to join FiorentinaHe has struggled to make a breakthrough into the first team and his time in North London was defined by the serious knee injury in 2025, which kept him out for almost a year.MATT BARLOW and SIMON JONESGerman giants interested in DiblingRB Leipzig have an interest in Everton winger Tyler Dibling.The 20-year-old cost Everton £35m from Southampton last summer but made just 14 appearances and struggled to make any impact.Leipzig had interest before he left Saints and are monitoring developments this summer.The Bundesliga side have previously enquired about Everton forward Thierno Barry also. River Plate maintain an interest in attacking midfielder Carlos Alcaraz.Garnacho attracting interestTwo Champions League clubs are among those showing interest in Alejandro Garnacho, who will be allowed to leave Chelsea this summer.The former Manchester United winger joined last August for a fee worth up to £40m, which included a 10 per cent sell-on clause.Clarets defender heading for SpainBurnley left back Quilindschy Hartman has joined Spanish side Espanyol on a season-long loan.The defender joined the Clarets from Feyenoord in June 2025, making 21 Premier League appearances with five assists last season. Quilindschy Hartman has swapped Turf Moor for EspanyolToon agree deal for Ajax aceNewcastle have agreed a £19.6m deal with Ajax for Sean Steur.The fee will rise to £22.6m with add-ons for the 18-year-old midfielder who is set to join on a five-year deal. Sean Steur, 18, looks set to join Newcastle in deal that could be worth over £22mThe Netherlands Under-19 international has made 25 appearances for Ajax and is regarded as a top talent.However, Ajax need funds to strengthen their squad and also have young Belgian midfielder Jorthy Mokio who can play in the same role.They have also asked for a 12.5 per cent sell-on clause.Ipswich beat Hull to Brazilian striker Ipswich are closing on a deal for Toulouse striker Emersonn.Hull City had made the early running for the 21-year-old but Ipswich are finalising terms with the fee, including bonuses, worth just under £20m.Toulouse also want a sell-on clause in the agreement.Emersonn is due to travel for his medical and will become the first signing of Gary O’Neil’s tenure at Portman Road.
