Norway demand they move out of their $250-a-night five-star Miami hotel after just one night before they face England after complaining about the facilities upsetting their preparations

England’s picky quarter-final opponents Norway moved out of their $250-a-night team hotel in Miami after just one day due to being dissatisfied with the facilities. Erling Haaland and his prima donna team-mates were reportedly unhappy with nearby construction work, the lack of a meeting room, and a four-kilometre walk to the beach. They spat their dummies out despite the hotel having a luxurious swimming pool with a city skyline view, spacious premium suites with expansive Florida vistas, and rooms complete to a high specification.Their manager and players have publicly aired their grievances with The Dalmar hotel in Fort Lauderdale, which they were originally in, before a mad dash across town to the beachfront Four Seasons hotel with the help of volunteers.’There were some things that could have been better and we fixed them. Just to optimize and prepare ourselves as best as possible for an important match,’ said captain and Arsenal star Martin Odegaard. Manager Stale Solbakken added: ‘There were a few things that weren’t right there. FIFA agreed with that and was very willing to help us.’You would like to have a gathering and meeting room. In total, there were too many little things. It’s not that you can’t live there, but we should be a team, be together and a unit.’ Norway’s stars spat their dummy out after being placed in the $250-a-night Dalmar hotel  They were unhappy with the hotel being near a busy road and construction work Welcome to paradise! Norway’s stars lugged their gear across town to the beachfront Four Seasons hotelAccording to Dagbladet, several players were disappointed at the standard of cleanliness with The Dalmar hotel. Meanwhile, VG reports that the hotel was by a ‘very busy’ road, which added to the level of disturbance. VG approached the hotel’s management but were turned away.  It is far from ideal preparation for the Scandinavian nation ahead of what will be their first-ever World Cup quarter-final.Norway’s delegation manager, Truls Daehli, added: ‘There were things where we lived that we would have liked to see were different. We felt it was necessary to take action.’It’s like we’re going to be here for a week, and we’re already in week six in the USA and are going to play the biggest game in history of our time. ‘Good well-being, good mood and good atmosphere are the most important things for us. And we have been met with good understanding from FIFA, who have moved their package to the new hotel.’It was a brutal effort to move everything yesterday, but now we are very happy to be in place. There are only happy faces here now.’The new hotel is more expensive. Norway have had to pay the increase for now, but all hotel costs are covered by FIFA and they will recompense the European nation down the line.  It was a ‘brutal’ effort to move to the new hotel, but the players are happy now Norway didn’t need this level of disruption especially on the back of the sickness bug which has hit their camp. Goalkeeper Orjan Nyland has verified reports of an illness in the camp and claimed that the team doctor is ‘very busy’.’I can confirm that it’s true. We’ve had our issues,’ Nyland told James Corden’s Fox show.’We’re doing the best that we can and the team doctor is very busy at the moment.’I don’t have any clue. We have had some time off so maybe someone contracted anything during the time off. Hopefully everything goes well and we face England with a fully rested squad on Saturday.’Since landing in North America last month, the Scandinavians have travelled thousands of miles.Having begun their campaign in Boston, they flew to New Jersey, before heading back to Boston and then down to Dallas. Their Round of 16 match against Brazil was meanwhile played back in New Jersey. And, according to Norwegian outlet Dagbladet, all of that jet-setting has taken its toll on the squad. Norway goalkeeper Orjan Nyland has confirmed that a sickness bug is going round the squad ahead of their World Cup quarter-final clash against England  Norway booked their place in the quarter-finals on Sunday by beating Brazil 2-1 and celebrated wildly in the dressing room afterwards Erling Haaland appeared ecstatic in the changing room after the squad were told they could head out for the nightCrystal Palace forward Jorgen Strand Larsen missed the opening game of the tournament through illness, while Marcus Holmgren Pedersen was absent from the clash against Brazil with a bug.Manager Solbakken was also spotted coughing violently at a press conference after Norway’s 4-1 defeat to France.’We’ve really only had Jorgen who has had a fever,’ the manager said. ‘But then there’s been a bit of coughing and rasping evenly, scattered throughout.’But there’s air conditioning, flights, changing rooms and all that. We’re over 50 people so it would be strange if one or the other didn’t come.’How much is David Beckham set to pocket from his World Cup brand deals? Take on our quiz in our newsletter HERE
