Morgan Rogers jokingly labelled Cole Palmer’s player of the match award as ‘criminal’ after being overlooked following his performance in their 6-3 win over Leeds in the Carabao Cup.Chelsea had looked at risk of crashing out at the third round stage after trailing 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.The introduction of Rogers and Palmer among four half-time substitutes had helped the Blues to fight back in the second half.Palmer scored twice in three minutes, including scoring from the penalty spot, to bring Chelsea back level.His second was one of three assists from Rogers, with the £117million summer signing also laying on goals for Pedro Neto and Danny Welbeck as Chelsea took charge.Valentin Barco and a late second from Welbeck, either side of Dominic Calvert-Lewin netting for Leeds – ultimately helped Chelsea seal a 6-3 win to progress.
