Man United suffer ANOTHER transfer blow with Aurelien Tchouameni set to sign a new contract with Real Madrid amid interest from Old Trafford chiefs

Manchester United target Aurelien Tchouameni is signing a new contract with Real Madrid until 2031.Talks are ongoing with the France international’s representatives who had drawn enquiries from United. However, his lucrative salary meant a deal with United was always difficult to achieve. The 26-year-old’s current deal runs until 2028, but putting pen to paper on a new agreement represents the latest blow in the transfer market for the Red Devils. While they have agreed a deal with Atalanta for Brazilian Ederson, which is due to be concluded in the near future, they missed out on England international Elliot Anderson, who joined rivals City for £116m, and West Ham United’s Mateus Fernandes, who joined big-spending Tottenham Hotspur for £85m.They have also agreed a £50m deal with Chelsea to sign Andrey Santos, but it’s unclear if the midfielder was close to being the Red Devils’ first choice. They have been keen to revamp their midfield following the departure of Casemiro, who has left as a free agent. Manchester United target Aurelien Tchouameni is set to sign a new contract at Real MadridTchouameni, meanwhile, has been at the World Cup with favourites, though missed the win over Paraguay in the last 16 with an injury. He has been a regular with Real Madrid, but drew attention last season when he clashed with team-mate Federico Valverde.A fight between the team-mates that started a day before had spilled into a physical confrontation, with the Uruguay star taken to hospital after hitting his head on a table and cutting his forehead.Valverde reportedly refused to shake Tchouameni’s hand, despite doing so with the rest of the group. Then, in a training session, the team captain flew into a number of increasingly forceful challenges with his rival.Drawn into the same team for a contest later in the session, Valverde is then thought to have implied that Tchouameni was lucky not to be facing off with him.In the dressing room, things are believed to have taken a more physical turn, with Valverde believed to have insulted the Frenchman before he was struck. As the pair scrapped, the former hit a table, causing a cut which bled and briefly losing consciousness, which sparked deep concern from team-mates including Tchouameni.United are yet to officially sign a player this summer, while Casemiro, Jadon Sancho, Rasmus Hojlund and Tyrell Malacia have departed. How much is David Beckham set to pocket from his World Cup brand deals?
