An LSU star being sued by Ole Miss was served court papers on Tuesday as tensions between the two rivals continue to escalate.According to ESPN insider Pete Thamel, LSU defensive end Princewill Umanmielen was served papers while in the parking lot of the Tigers’ football facility.It comes just days before the two teams meet in a highly anticipated SEC showdown in Mississippi. It will be the first game between the two since coach Lane Kiffin ditched Ole Miss for LSU and a $91 million contract before the College Football Playoff in November.In July, Ole Miss launched legal action against two players who followed Kiffin to LSU, alleging they failed to compensate the school for their departure as required by revenue-sharing agreements they had signed in early January.The lawsuits were filed against edge rusher Umanmielen and offensive lineman Devin Harper. Ole Miss is seeking $550,000 from Umanmielen and $400,000 from Harper, according to the lawsuits filed in Lafayette County Circuit Court in Oxford, Mississippi. Golding coached Ole Miss to the national semifinals.After the Rebels’ playoff run ended, Umanmielen and Harper transferred to LSU.Umanmielen had nine sacks and 13 tackles for loss as a junior last season for the Rebels. Harper was a freshman reserve in 2025, appearing in six games.Speaking at LSU on Tuesday, Umanmielen downplayed his impending return to Ole Miss.’Of course, there’s excitement seeing those guys,’ Umanmielen said. ‘But it’s another week.
