JD Vance greeted by Bengals stars after toe-curling clip appeared to show players brutally snubbing him

A viral video that showed US Vice President JD Vance getting ignored by nearly all of the Cincinnati Bengals stars when he visited the team’s facility on Wednesday has been debunked by his team.Vance, who is a longtime Bengals fan, was in town to make a speech at the FBI’s Cincinnati Field Office and at a campaign rally in nearby Sharonville. However, during the trip he also made a swift visit to watch Joe Burrow and Co at practice – though it appears that his drop in didn’t exactly go to plan.In a viral video, Vance was seen waiting in the locker room and attempting to greet the players as they prepared to head out onto the practice field. The footage proved to be an excruciating watch for most fans after they noticed that the Vice President was snubbed by all but one of the Bengals stars. Out of the entire roster, only tight end Drew Sample took the opportunity to shake the Vice President’s hand, while everyone else simply walked past him.  Vide President JD Vance was brutally snubbed by Cincinnati Bengals stars on Wednesday Bengals tight end Drew Sample shook the Vice President’s hand before practiceThis is what TOTAL HUMILIATION looks like: JD Vance attempted to greet Cincinnati Bengals players in the locker room and got snubbed and ghosted by every single player except one. pic.twitter.com/o2TvmTTOUf— Bill Madden (@maddenifico) October 22, 2026 The incident quickly went viral on social media as users rushed online to poke fun at Vance’s brutal snubbing. Taking to X, one fan said: ‘One guy on the entire team acknowledges the existence of the vice president of the United States who is standing just feet away. Humiliating.’Another wrote: ‘Good for the Bengal players. Vance is an obnoxious jerk.”I’ve never seen a group of people less enthusiastic to meet the vice president. They barely looked his way,’ another fan added on social media. However, Vance’s team were quick to prove that the Bengals stars did not actually ignore him, after sharing pictures and videos of the Vice President chatting away with players earlier in the day. His visit came just a day after Donald Trump refused to endorse his vice president as he stood behind him in the Oval Office.Meanwhile, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, who said he only learned about the visit when owner Mike Brown ‘told me on the sideline,’ was later asked if he had the chance to meet the Vice President. ‘We did not,’ he said. ‘He came with everybody and left with swiftness and efficiency before the end of practice. So I didn’t get to.’ Quarterback Joe Burrow was quizzed on Vance’s visit on Wednesday afternoon  While in town, Vance also spoke at a campaign rally at the Sharonville Convention CenterBurrow was then quizzed on how it felt to have Vance at practice. ‘Yeah, a lot of people around,’ he said. ‘That’s what I love about what I do is it brings a lot of people together, and people want to take time out of their day to come and watch what we do, watch what I do, and watch all the work that I’ve put in to come and watch greatness.’As reported by The Athletic, Vance’s motorcade arrived at the Kettering Health practice fields around 2.15pm local time on Wednesday. The vice president was joined by Secret Service agents and police dogs, who were seen patrolling the perimeter of the Bengals practice facility.Burrow and Co are preparing to face the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, with the Bengals looking to move to 4-2 for the season.
