Rain suspended Saturday’s Snap-on Makers and Fixers 250 after 90 of the scheduled 250 laps at the Milwaukee Mile. The race will resume Sunday at 9 a.m. ET on FS1 and FOX One, with Pato O’Ward leading Felix Rosenqvist, Alexander Rossi, Josef Newgarden, Christian Lundgaard and Kyle Kirkwood.The Snap-on Milwaukee Mile 250 remains scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on FOX and FOX One. Alex Palou, who entered the weekend with a 91-point championship lead, was running 13th when Saturday’s race was halted.The race resumes from Lap 91. Teams will not be permitted to add fuel or change tires before the restart.If the first race cannot be completed by 10:25 a.m. ET, it will resume three hours after the conclusion of the second race. INDYCAR hopes to complete both events at their full 250-lap distance.The Milwaukee Mile sits on the grounds of Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, Wisconsin. The 1.015-mile oval opened in 1903, making it the world’s oldest continuously operating motor speedway. It features 9 degrees of banking in the turns.Drivers cannot stay flat through the corners, so the short oval drives more like a road course. The track rewards cars that can rotate through the turns without giving up speed on the straights.Both races are scheduled for 250 laps and 250 miles. Saturday opens the only doubleheader on the 2026 INDYCAR schedule, while Sunday closes the weekend and serves as the final oval event of the season.Palou entered Milwaukee with 553 points, 91 ahead of Kirkwood and 110 ahead of Christian Lundgaard. He can clinch his fifth INDYCAR championship if he leaves Sunday’s second race with at least a 54-point lead over both drivers.Christian Rasmussen won at Milwaukee in 2025 after passing Palou with 16 laps remaining. It was Rasmussen’s first INDYCAR victory.Kirkwood won the Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C. on Aug. 23.
