Rocky Flintoff, son of England legend Freddie, enjoyed a day to remember as he struck his maiden hundred for Lancashire.Playing against Somerset in the Metro Bank One Day Cup, Flintoff, 18, smashed a stunning 123 off just 76 balls as Lancashire racked up a mammoth 443-6 off their 50 overs.The 18-year-old struck 10 fours and seven sixes as he shone in the blazing sunshine in Taunton.Flintoff looked in imperious form and brought up his 100 in just 65 balls as he put on a 214-run fourth wicket partnership with former England opener Keaton Jennings, who hit 156. The middle-order batter was eventually dismissed off the bowling of South African Migael Pretorius, with Archie Vaughan, son of Ashes 2005-winning captain Michael, a former team-mate of Flintoff Snr, taking the catch.Flintoff made his First-Class and List A debuts as a 16-year-old during the 2024 season, but after missing much of the 2025 campaign through injury, he has been given an opportunity to shine over recent weeks. Given his age, Flintoff continues to feature regularly for England’s Under 19 side, while he also struck a century for England Lions against a Cricket Australia XI in early 2025, highlighting his prestigious talent. He is one of a number of famous sons from England’s 2005 generation making their way in the cricketing world.Vaughan, a top-order batter and off-spin bowler, is slightly older than Flintoff at 20, yet he is a regular in Somerset’s One Day and First-Class team.Charlie Harmison, son of former England fast-bowler Steve, is on the books at Durham and featured alongside Flintoff for England’s Under 19 side earlier this summer. Rocky’s older brother Corey also enjoyed a short stint with Kent last summer.
