Former England and Tottenham star Gary Mabbutt is in hospital after suffering a ‘serious accident’ in South Africa.Mabbutt, 64, required treatment on a ‘big blood clot in his calf’, former Spurs team-mate and friend Micky Hazard said on Facebook.Hazard, 66, revealed Mabbutt would remain in South Africa until at least July 24 as he is not allowed to fly home as a result of the problem. He was admitted to hospital after complaining of chest pains and breathlessness before being released a week later.
