It’s that time of the year again – the transfer window is now open until September 1 and it’s sure to be a busy period with clubs looking to make big signings ahead of next season. Here are today’s latest developments from Simon Jones and the Daily Mail Sport team…Everton and Palace advance in swap deal talksEverton and Crystal Palace are advancing in talks over a swap deal involving Brennan Johnson and Dwight McNeil.Initial discussions last week were described as complicated over the difference in value; Johnson, 25, cost £35million from Tottenham when he joined in January and has four years left on contract.McNeil, 26, was valued at £20m when he saw a move to Palace collapse in January and has one year remaining on contract.
