Erling Yee-Haaland! Norwegian star buys fresh cowboy gear

Erling Haaland prepared for a shoot-out of a different kind as he went on a shopping spree in the heart of Texas. The Norway star equipped himself with a cowboy hat and traditional boots while enjoying some downtime from World Cup duty – though he appeared to fall short of a smoking pistol.  ‘What’re you saying, y’all?’ said Haaland, in his broadest southern American accent, as he cosplayed and took fans along for the ride via his Snapchat story. He also dressed himself in a short-sleeved grey tee-shirt which read: ‘Y’all can kiss my Dallas.’The 25-year-old, who has scored five at this World Cup, will next ride into battle on Sunday when Norway take on Brazil. He will find himself in a stand-off against the likes of Vinicius Junior and Matheus Cunha, with Norway bidding to reach the quarter-finals for the first time.  Erling Haaland went on a cowboy shopping spree as he enjoyed downtime from the World Cup He kitted himself out in boots, a hat, and a tee-shirt which read: ‘Y’all can kill my Dallas’ The challenge of facing Brazil is so great that you actually have to go back to 1990 to find the last time the Selecao didn’t reach the last eight of a World Cup.  But Carlo Ancelotti’s side suffered a scare in the last 32 against Japan, against whom they needed a 96th-minute winner from substitute Gabriel Martinelli. Norway, meanwhile, navigated their way past the Ivory Coast with a 2-1 victory. As you’d expected, Haaland scored the winner in that game in the 86th minute with a classic poacher’s finish. Remarkably, while it only took him 86 minutes to score in a World Cup knockout game, it took Lionel Messi until his fifth to do so, while Cristiano Ronaldo has failed to do so in six attempts.  While he has been serious on the pitch, he has been joking around as much as possible off it. He appeared on a segment of James Corden’s show, tried to convince a woman that he was merely Norway’s ‘social media guy’, and has enjoyed walking around the streets of New York without being recognised anywhere near as much as he would be in Manchester. How much is David Beckham set to pocket from his World Cup brand deals?
