The Miami Dolphins quarterback room is a revolving door at the moment as signal callers are getting cut left and right before 53-man rosters are finalized.Over the weekend, the Dolphins made a flurry of moves that have left them with just two quarterbacks on the roster. One of those moves was waiving quarterback Mark Gronowski, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. This move comes just days after Gronowski, an undrafted rookie out of Iowa, was brutally tackled as he attempted to recover a fumble against the Atlanta Falcons.Gronowski bent down to grab the ball, only for a Falcons player to dive on top of him. The quarterback then buckled backward from the force of the hit. Fans mocked him, with one saying that he ‘got folded up like a lawn chair.’ Thankfully, he wasn’t injured and continued to play. The cutting of Gronowski is one of four moves the Dolphins made at the quarterback position over the weekend. The Miami Dolphins cut quarterback Mark Gronowski in a series of changes to their QB room Gronowski was recently ‘folded like a lawn chair’ during a preseason game against the Falcons The Dolphins recently traded Quinn Ewers (L) before cutting Gronowski and Cam Miller (R) With no backup quarterbacks, the Dolphins then traded for Packers backup Kyle McCordOn Saturday, the Dolphins traded Quinn Ewers to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a sixth-round pick.Ewers, the former Texas quarterback, started three games last season for Miami – completing 66 percent of his passes for 622 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions.Entering Sunday, the Dolphins were expected to have Gronowski and second-year product Cam Miller. But by 11:00am ET, both were cut. Miller, who was picked by the Raiders in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft out of North Dakota State, spent the final weeks of last season on the Dolphins roster. With all three of those players gone, the Dolphins needed to make a move to find a backup for projected starter Malik Willis.Nearly an hour after the Gronowski and Miller cuts, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Dolphins were trading a sixth-round pick to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for Kyle McCord.McCord, the second-year player out of Syracuse, is now on his third NFL team. He signed with the Packers after being drafted in 2025 by the Philadelphia Eagles. Now, he will be the backup to Willis in a year where the Dolphins are projected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL.
