Bournemouth will demand a fee of more than £100MILLION to sell Alex Scott in January – with Chelsea and Liverpool in race for wantaway star

Bournemouth want in excess of £100million for Alex Scott should they sell in January.Chelsea remain firmly in the hunt for the England international after having three proposals rebuffed over the summer, ranging up to £68million.Liverpool also hold an interest, as do other top Premier League and European sides but the cost will be prohibitive to the Anfield club and others. After signing Bradley Barcola from Paris St Germain, Liverpool would have required a substantial sale to be able to recruit again in August, hence Manchester City’s attempt to sign Cody Gakpo.Liverpool retain an interest in Chelsea target Lamine Camara also but are still to fully establish targets under new sporting director Julian Ward.Bournemouth are aware Scott’s stock is increasing after his display for England against Croatia and recognise they could attain optimum price in the winter window if not the summer. Chelsea and Liverpool were among the clubs to have previously eyed a move for Alex ScottThe 23-year-old has been pushing to leave Vitality Stadium since turning down two contract offers at the end of last season and Chelsea have been encouraged to pursue their interest, but Bournemouth insisted he was not for sale throughout the recent international break. However, after further talks with his representatives, the Cherries are now understood to be willing to sanction Scott’s sale if an offer around £100m arrives in January.Bournemouth’s position in the Premier League table will also be a contributing factor to any decision.Scott is out for at least a month with a thigh injury sustained during England’s 7-0 win over Croatia in the Nations League. He has 20 months left on the contract he signed when he joined Bournemouth from Bristol City in 2023 for a fee of £25m.
