Barcelona END their interest in Marcus Rashford and send him back to Man United after refusing to pay just £26m for him

Barcelona have decided not to buy Marcus Rashford and will send him back to Manchester United, according to reports in Spain.Barca have a deadline of Monday to sign Rashford for a set fee of £26million under the terms of his loan at the Nou Camp this season, although they could negotiate a separate deal after that date.Up to now, United have refused to budge on price with Barcelona said to be offering roughly half the agreed figure, having already spent £70million to sign his England teammate Anthony Gordon from Newcastle.Sources close to the deal believe that the Catalans could also offer to take the 28-year-old on loan for another season and pay his £315,000-a-week wages again. However, reports in Spain on Monday claimed that Barca have decided not to pursue the deal and are happy for Rashford to return to Old Trafford after the World Cup. United would prefer a sale but are unlikely to get any more than half of the £47.2million they paid Inter Milan for the goalkeeper after quoting Monaco £30million for him last summer.
