Arsenal have decided they would prefer to allow Ethan Nwaneri out on loan rather than a permanent sale.Mikel Arteta has praised Nwaneri following a difficult loan at Marseille and feels he needs another experience of gaining more competitive game time.Premier League clubs such as Fulham and Everton checked on the 19-year-old earlier in the summer while RB Leipzig are among a raft of European clubs interested. He was left out of the matchday squad for the Community Shield win over Manchester City on Sunday but Arsenal are looking to sell others such as Napoli target Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli who has interest from Al Sadd among others but wants to either stay or go to a top league if he leaves at all.Arteta hinted that Ethan Nwaneri could be heading for the exit door prior to the Gunners’ victory over City in Cardiff. He said: ‘It’s unquestionable the talent, the desire, the love and the passion he has for the game. It’s something that I’ve always loved about Ethan. Arsenal would prefer to loan out midfielder Ethan Nwaneri rather than sell him permanently ‘I think he’s had some great games and he’s shown everybody that he has the ability to be here.‘I want him to be at the club but something that, in the medium-long term, is best for the player as well. ‘Ethan needs to play football and if he stays here it’s because we can guarantee that he can have those minutes.‘Otherwise it’s just something that is not good for anybody I think.’The 19-year-old sat on the Marseille bench in the second half of last season, and has recently been tracked by multiple clubs, including Galatasaray.
