Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer turns on his own player in explosive sideline meltdown after punch on Georgia rival ‘cost us the game’

Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer erupted at one of his players during the final moments of Saturday’s SEC showdown against Georgia. The Crimson Tide suffered a narrow 20-17 defeat to the Bulldogs with the clash in Tuscaloosa ending in dramatic – and controversial – fashion. Late in the game, Alabama cornerback Dijon Lee Jr. committed an unacceptable penalty that handed Georgia a major advantage. With just over two minutes to go, No. 2 Georgia was set for a third-and-2 on its own end of the field, but Lee was seen in a physical scuffle with a Bulldog. He first grabbed his opponent’s jersey, before clutching at his face mask and then swinging a fist at his face twice. The cornerback was flagged for a personal foul, which brought up a fresh set of downs for the Bulldogs and allowed them to run down the clock.  Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer erupted at one of his players during Saturday’s game DeBoer claimed cornerback Dijon Lee cost Alabama the game after he swung at a BulldogThe incident left DeBoer livid as he was caught tearing into Lee from the sidelines on the ABC broadcast. As the player approached the Alabama bench, an irate DeBoer gave him an earful, screaming in his face. It appeared that the Crimson Tide head coach shouted that the cornerback ‘just cost us the damn game.’ Georgia had taken the lead with a field goal to break the tense tie with 5:25 left in the tight contest. Alabama had a chance to tie or take the lead but stalled after an incomplete pass, which was controversially not called for pass interference much to the fury of college football fans online. A sack then moved the Tide out of field goal range, allowing the Bulldogs to regain possession. Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton the hit Elyiss Williams for 17 yards on third-and-7 for a pivotal conversion before Lee’s personal foul all but sealed the game.
