For the most part, Katie Price has been entirely unconcerned about what people were saying about her and her tumultuous marriage to conman Lee Andrews.Friends say she revels in being the centre of attention – and that she lives by Oscar Wilde’s maxim: There’s only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that’s not being talked about.But all that has changed recently – and very suddenly. I can reveal that, last month, Price learned of an anonymous Facebook group that both she and those around her now fear could seriously damage her reputation.The account, Chaos Corner, has threatened to release exclusive voice notes and messages Katie allegedly made – which it is thought could prove highly embarrassing for her. There is further chatter of several damning screenshots from a Zoom call that Katie joined some time ago, which could prompt further very difficult questions.The allegations centre around just how much Katie knew or didn’t know about Lee’s scamming of several women in fake investment schemes. Readers will remember that several women have come forward to accuse Lee, 43, of soliciting money from them on dodgy pretexts – with promised investment returns that never materialised. The self-styled ‘businessman’, who is also accused of lying about having a PhD from Cambridge University, is currently being held in Dubai’s notorious Al Awir prison, and is also the subject of probes by Hertfordshire Police and Interpol.Today, Katie, 48, shared news that she is to divorce Lee just eight months after they tied the knot in a surprise ceremony in Dubai. Katie claimed to The Sun that Lee had lied to her about having £37million in cryptocurrency, when in fact his account showed a balance of just £2.22.She also claimed that she told her jailbird hubby on WhatsApp: ‘I have been played and you are not who you say you are. Katie is a publicity expert: she has been orchestrating her career since she was about 17, so she knew she had to get away from him.‘As well as Chaos Corner, there is talk of a Zoom video doing the rounds where Katie was on the call with Lee while he was doing a “deal”. The chatter is that she really does not want to be associated as being Lee’s wife when that comes out.‘So to say that she “dumped” him because he didn’t have enough money is a load of nonsense. She would have to be stupid to have thought he was genuinely rich. He might have some money from scamming other women but he isn’t a proper businessman – and one thing Katie isn’t, is stupid.‘She has been deeply worried about things coming out that she doesn’t want exposed. There is far more to this than Katie is telling us. The thing is, she thinks we are all stupid – and a lot of people out there have had enough.’Certainly, while the mother-of-five might like to think she can sway certain elements of the Press and social media, she has found herself unable to shut down Chaos Corner, the anonymously run Facebook account that has been entertaining its followers with promises to reveal ‘the truth’ about the ex-glamour model.There are also fears that Lee’s former PR manager, Leighton Dewar of Leighton James Associates, is ready to share certain allegations about their relationship – representing yet another worry for the troubled star.Those in Katie’s circle have pointed out to me: If she was so concerned with Lee’s finances, why didn’t she dump him back in February when she learned that he had scammed his ex-girlfriends?There are several other gaping holes in Katie’s story. Why, for example, would she send Lee a WhatsApp when he was in jail, where prisoners are not allowed phones? Serving him divorce papers as she claims while he is incarcerated is also likely to have been far from straightforward.As my source bluntly puts it: ‘Katie is just so full of s***.’Katie, who first catapulted to fame in the mid-90s as a ‘Page 3 girl’, married Lee at the One and Only Royal Mirage hotel on Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach on January 25 of this year. The nuptials came just days after he had proposed following their first meeting on social media.Lee was Katie’s fourth husband following her marriages to Peter Andre, Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler respectively. And while those romances were constantly in the headlines, her relationship with Lee has prompted by far the most public fascination – particularly when he allegedly went ‘missing’ in May.Lee was due to be interviewed on ITV’s Good Morning Britain along with Katie, but never arrived in this country. The Daily Mail later revealed Lee was in prison on fraud charges but in a bid to get as much Press coverage as possible, Katie went public with a bizarre tale that he had been ‘kidnapped’.Sources tell me they suspect that she may have created that story only so that she could sell it to the Press – a tactic she has honed over almost three decades. I’m told she has made ‘tens of thousands of pounds’ from media deals during her eight months of marriage to Lee.Talking of money, I’m also told Katie has been secretly planning to cash in on her brief fourth marriage by making another documentary for Sky with veteran filmmaker Louis Theroux, who was behind her recent show, Katie Price: Nothing to Hide. Her popularity led the network to commission the couple’s fly-on-the-wall shows, When Jordan Met Peter and Katie & Peter.The Daily Mail approached Katie for comment.‘Katie is playing silly buggers left, right and centre here,’ says one of the many people who has been left aghast at her behaviour since her most recent marriage.‘She has created a massive web of different stories and events, she seems to be struggling to keep up with what she has told people. It’s all going to come crashing down for her rather spectacularly.’
