It’s been 25 years since The Princess Diaries aired, becoming an instant comedy classic and launching its lead Anne Hathaway to stardom. Three years later the film spawned a sequel, Royal Engagement, and now two decades on fans are set to receive a conclusion to the storyline with a third film. While details of the plot have been kept under wraps, director Adele Lim has promised fans there will be some familiar faces when the franchise returns. She revealed: ‘If you were a fan of the original first two movies, I think you can look forward to a lot of fun returns. ‘We’re going to be able to shoot in Europe and really show the audience Genovia in its full glory.’ So what became of the original cast?
