It is another apparently unvarnished glimpse into the life of Wayne and Coleen Rooney.Viewers of The Real Rooneys follow the couple on a romantic getaway to the Scottish Highlands that was meant to help them ‘reconnect’ amid marriage troubles.But it seems it was not only the Disney cameras who were invited along for the weekend – the couple also spent time with some of Wayne’s former teammates and their partners.Talking to the cameras, Coleen, 40, says: ‘I’m hoping for a really nice weekend away, just to have a bit of quality time together. I’m hoping this is the chill weekend that we both just need.‘Things between me and Wayne have been up and down, and I’m hoping a break will help us reconnect. So we’re heading off to Scotland.’The couple are shown driving to Loch Lomond, where they enjoy clay-pigeon shooting and whisky tasting during their stay at the luxurious five-star Cameron House Hotel. No mention is made of them in the show.The mini-break took place in September 2025. On the 23rd of that month, Danielle posted a photograph of herself, Coleen and Lisa together, where she says they had been clay-pigeon shooting.Coleen is wearing the same brown blazer and earrings as she was during her whisky-tasting session at Cameron House Hotel as shown on the show.A day later, Wayne posted two photographs, one of him and Coleen with Loch Lomond behind him and another of him, Coleen and the other two couples dining at the Gleneagles Hotel, about an hour’s drive from Loch Lomond.A source said of the show: ‘It is called the Real Rooneys but there wasn’t much real about that trip.’A spokesman for the Rooneys said: ‘Wayne and Coleen attended a golf invitational event in Scotland. This event was also attended by a number of other celebrities.‘After this event had concluded, Wayne and Coleen travelled on to Cameron House. This part of their trip was made solely as a couple, with only their production crew accompanying them.’The ten-part series premiered on Thursday. The couple allowed the cameras into their £10million mansion in Cheshire, where they are not afraid of a plug, including Coleen’s deal with Primark and Wayne’s contract with Gary Neville’s Overlap firm, which was recently bought by Disney+ (who paid the couple £10million for the show).
