It really was one to remember… a few months filled with family, friends, exploring new places and fluffy little butts!!! ‘But I think it’s safe to say I’m ready for autumn now.. I want to snuggle on the sofa, read my books, have Harry Potter marathons, walk through crunchy leaves, wear cute little outfits and generally just not have to worry about sweating my tits off all the time.’I hope this season brings you all as much joy, happiness and adventure as the summer brought us.. (and abit less sweat)’It comes after Vicky thanked fans for their kind messages after she posted holiday snaps but told them ‘glam bikini pictures were not the goal, motherhood is’.She said she increased her fitness regime with the goal of falling pregnant but hasn’t restricted her diet and enjoyed indulging on holiday. She wrote: ‘First bikini picture on holiday versus my first picture of my bod at home…’I got loads of lovely messages about my posts when I was away ‘your figure!’, ‘omg girl, you can tell you’ve been working out!’ Etc… and whereas I love you all and these messages are lush.. I just wanted to be very real with you all for a second.’I have always worked out, but this year I upped the ante, for a couple of reasons- but mainly because I want to have a baby. And I want to be as strong and capable as possible if and when that time comes.’Glamorous and posey bikini pictures were not the goal… motherhood is. And while it’s lovely to be able to feel good about my body on holiday (as women, we all know how hard that can be) I just wanted you to know that these w***y pictures are a lot of smoke and mirrors.. great swimwear, carefully curated, unnatural and normally f**king uncomfortable poses, skinny mirrors, good angles, a great spray tan… the list goes on .’I also ENJOYED my holiday… unashamedly. I ate and drank everything I wanted because that is one of my greatest pleasures in life- exploring a new country with my husband, embracing the local culture a bit and genuinely LIVING. And I’m never going to feel guilty about that.. privileged? Definitely. But never guilty.’Life is for living and we all know just how precious and short it can be.. so yeah, my body does look a bit different now to how it did when I went away.. and that’s ok. Bodies change, weight fluctuates.. and THAT’S OK! I think what I’m trying to say is never allow someone’s holiday pictures, vacation snaps or social media posts to make you question your own worth and beauty… because it’s probably all bulls**t anyway.’The mummy blogger is probably exhausted, the fitness influencer eats ice cream over the sink late at night and the ‘celeb’ doesn’t look like that all the time…’We’re all lovely just the way we are.. our lumps and bumps, our soft tummies, our saggy bums.. whatever it is! Don’t let anyone’s filtered life, make you love your real one any less’. And I’ve never really felt ready until now.’It’s wild but like something just clicks, and the minute you feel ready it’s like you need a baby straight away.’And all my whole life I felt so content and so happy and so proud of the things I was doing, and now all of a sudden, because I don’t have a baby, I feel a bit lost.’Wiping away her tears she continued: ‘I love my husband so much. He’s going to make such a great dad. We’re just trying not to put too much pressure on ourselves.’We made a decision a couple years ago to freeze our eggs which I’m like so happy we did. Gives you that bit of a security blanket.’Yeah, I look forward to the day where that is a treatment that is available for more women, more affordable, certainly.’Jokingly she added: ‘But yeah, at the moment, Well I mean, he’s [Ercan’s] having a lovely time.’I know these things take time, but patience has never been one of my virtues.’In a 2025 interview with Women’s Health UK she admitted that she has a ‘huge question mark over motherhood’ and that the pressure to have a baby now that she is married is ‘suffocating’.She explained that she had worked so hard for so long to get where she has career-wise, that taking a break ‘scares her’.’I’m a huge advocate for egg freezing, although I’m saying that from a position of financial privilege,’ she said.’Women shouldn’t be beholden to this invisible timeline. We’re fed this narrative that we can have it all and do whatever we want, but it’s not necessarily true. In women’s lives, there has to be a lot of compromise involved.’I met Ercan when I was 31 and wanted to give our relationship breathing space… It’s been the best thing I’ve ever done. I felt really suffocated, on a kind of conveyor belt, and now I feel free.’
