The Made In Chelsea cast then vs now: From Botox and new teeth to boob jobs – the changing faces of the original stars 15 years after the show’s launch

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 15 years since Made In Chelsea burst onto our screens.

And 30 series later the show is still going strong as the cameras follow a cast of young stars in their 20s as they navigate their luxurious life living in SW3.

Many of the show’s big names have now carved out successful careers away from the reality series.

From Sam Thompson’s presenting and podcasting to Spencer Matthews’ marathon running endeavours and Lucy Watson’s career as a PETA ambassador and cookbook author – the stars have explored a range of paths.

And as well as finding new passions, continuing to experience the rollercoasters of relationships and expanding their families, many of the cast also look very different to how they did when they first rose to fame.

With many of the return cast also appearing in series two of the spin off show Beyond Chelsea, we take a look back at the changing faces of the original series one MIC cast.

Sam Thompson

Sam, now 33, has had quite the transformation since first being on the show after working on his physique and sporting noticeably straighter teeth (seen right in 2013)

Sam joined the cast of Made In Chelsea as Louise’s energetic little brother and his main storyline involved his on-off relationship with Lucy’s younger sister Tiffany Watson.

Sam, now 33, has had quite the transformation since first being on the show after working on his physique, dying his hair and sporting noticeably straighter teeth.

Following his breakup from Zara McDermott in early 2025, the star made the decision to kickstart his viral glow-up.

Hitting the gym the star has stayed committed to his fitness, getting in shape for his Soccer Aid 260-mile running and cycling challenge.

Meanwhile the star has also dyed his hair (and beard) darker and has opted for a mullet for a fresh look.

Speaking to the Daily Mail last summer, he said: ‘Do you know what’s funny? I sometimes think “how s**t did I look?”

‘And it’s true, because I remember, and I don’t mind this going anywhere, I remember looking in the mirror and going “damn it man, you’ve got to do something about yourself.”

‘So I just went to the gym a little bit, sort of like started buying some clothes, had a haircut, and then you’re like God, I feel so great. I really really do. I feel awesome, I’m so happy, which is so nice.’

Sam has been questioned in the past about a rumoured cosmetic procedure, and he has in the past undergone a salmon-sperm facial which is described as a unique skincare treatment that involves the injection of polynucleotides derived from salmon milt (fish semen).

Pete Wicks asked him on their joint Staying Relevant podcast: ‘What the f**k have you done to your face?’ to which Sam replied: ‘I’ve had salmon sperm’.

Pete then brutally replied: ‘Yeah, it’s gone badly…’ before Sam tried to defend his appearance and said it needed to ‘settle in’ before Pete read out messages from viewers asking about Sam’s new look.

Eventually, he confessed: ‘Zara made me get botox,’ leaving Pete with his jaw on the floor.

Sam explained: ‘I was on the chair to get salmon sperm…. I won’t be doing it again, let’s leave it there.’

Millie Mackintosh found herself at the centre of a love triangle during series one after her now former husband Hugo Taylor was torn between both her and Rosie Fortescue.

Millie and Hugo went on to split during series two, after both cheating on each other, before they reunited and married in 2018.

The pair split earlier this year and it was reported they had officially filed for divorce in March following seven years of marriage.

As well as a rocky relationship, Millie has also been incredibly open about her toxic relationship with alcohol after she decided to quit booze in summer 2022 after recognising the unhealthy habit.

Speaking to Women’s Health UK in January, she insisted she had to ‘completely abstain’ from booze because she couldn’t handle having just one drink.

Asked if she would describe herself as an alcoholic, she replied: ‘I think it depends what your definition is.

‘I wasn’t a drinker who depended on drinking alcohol everyday of the week but whenever I drank I wanted to drink to black out and drink, and drink, and drink.

‘I recognise that urge is very unhealthy for me and it is better for me to completely abstain than to have the option of having one.’

Millie admitted she has ‘an alcohol use disorder’ and discussed the grey areas of drinking, as not everyone would be classed as an alcoholic.

The TV personality went on to recall the moment she realised she had to become sober and give up booze completely.

She added: ‘I had a particularly bad panic attack when I was hungover and that was the final moment when I said, “Ok I’m never drinking again”.

‘And it’s now been three and a half years.’

Meanwhile the star has also been transparent about all the ‘tweakments’ she has had done, ranging from Botox to a boob job and Cool Sculpting – a fat reduction treatment.

Millie also revealed she had tried Quantum RF, a non-surgical cosmetic procedure designed to tighten skin and contour the body.

She said: ‘This is one I’ve just tried recently on my stomach and around my c-section scar. I’m really happy with the results but it’s going to take up to a year to see the full results but so far I would give it a 10.’

Elsewhere Millie has used polynucleotides – injectable, natural DNA fragments derived from salmon or trout aimed to rejuvenate skin as well as skin boosters – injectable treatments designed to deeply hydrate, firm, and improve overall skin texture.

Lucy Watson

Lucy Watson joked that she ‘has a whole new face’ eight years after starring on Made in Chelsea as she appeared on her new spin-off show Beyond Chelsea (seen left in 2025 and right in 2014)

Lucy first joined Made In Chelsea in 2012 and quickly became a fan favourite with her straight talking and no nonsense attitude.

The star, now 35, had some huge storylines including her ill-fated romances with lotharios Spencer Matthews, Jamie Laing and Andy Jordan.

Appearing on Beyond Chelsea when it first aired at the end of 2024 Lucy joked she had a ‘whole new face’ eight years on from leaving the show.

Binky Felstead asked Lucy if she and her husband James Dunmore, who she met on the E4 series, would ever let their son Willoughby, now 18 months, watch the show.

Lucy replied saying: ‘We would let Willoughby watch it to see how mummy and daddy met. But we weren’t as hot back then!

‘James has had new teeth, I’ve now got a whole new face! No I’m joking…’

She has previously insisted that she hasn’t had any work done, but in the past it hadn’t stopped many from speculating that she’d had the odd tweakment here or there.

Last September she shared her glowy skin care routine, proving that her radiant complexion is all down to a range of vegan and cruelty free products.

When she first started on Made in Chelsea she had a natural look but a few years on some commented on her plumper lips.

But in 2015, the star denied all the rumours and told OK!: ‘I think it’s because I’ve changed my pose.

‘I used to do a really fake smile but now I’ve started to pout and people have got a bit over-excited. If I had something done I’d be totally open about it.’

Spencer Matthews

Spencer is arguably the most famous face to come out of the show – with the star leaving the series and going on to have huge success.

The businessman, now 37, decided to take a step back from the series after season 10 in 2015, after firmly cementing his status as Chelsea’s resident bad boy.

His time on the show was marked by his tumultuous relationships with Louise Thompson and Lucy, both of whom he cheated on.

After leaving the show he had an incredible body transformation after going sober and starting a strict fitness regime.

Spencer, who shares three children with his wife Vogue Williams, has been open about his journey to sobriety.

He previously spoke about his body transformation, revealing that his life was ‘spiralling out of control’ on the show due to his ‘drinking problem’.

Spencer said: ‘My life was spiralling out of control. During Made In Chelsea I had a drinking problem.

‘I would drink to excess almost daily and had a deluded sense of grandeur. I was uncomfortable in my own skin and change felt like too much of an effort.

‘I thought that because I was a prominent character on a popular TV show that things would just happen for me, not realising that any kind of real success only comes through hard graft and determination. I had no routine, no motivation, no drive and no plan.

‘My unsustainable appetite for socialising became detrimental to my health and wellness.’

The former Jump contestant gave up drinking after welcoming his first child back in 2018, even going on to found his own brand CleanCo, which provides alternatives to alcohol.

Since the show the star has embarked on various intense fitness challenges, including running an astonishing 30 marathons in 30 days in the scorching heat of the Jordanian desert.

In December he became a three-time Guinness World Record holder after completing his epic challenge of seven Ironman triathlons on seven continents in just 21 days.

The extreme challenge saw him embark on a global mission to complete seven triathlons, each involving swimming, cycling and running, in London, Arizona, Cape Town, Perth, Dubai, Rio De Janeiro and Antarctica.

While the star hasn’t said too much about the work she has had done, in an interview with The Times ahead of the return of Beyond Chelsea she admitted she has had a series of cosmetic injections.

She joked: ‘But don’t tell my husband. He thinks I was just born this way.’

Meanwhile in January 2025, the star took to Instagram to shout out Doctor Bibi for helping her with a ‘few little tweaks’ and profhilo on her skin.

Doctor Bibi explained profhilo is a hyaluronic acid that functions as an injectable moisturiser and as a collagen booster.

The protocol is two treatments spaced four weeks apart and then the results last six months.

The jewellery CEO revealed last year that she tried composite bonding to give her teeth a more even look.

On Instagram, she gushed: ‘Ignore the state of me but beyond thrilled with my bonding. So natural but perfect at the same time. This isn’t an ad, I just love @drrhonaeskander’s work.’

She also was seen on an episode of Beyond Chelsea visiting an aesthetics practitioner to get advice on some tweakments.

Over on her Instagram she has also shared her beauty hacks with fans, sharing that she uses an LED Hair Growth Helmet to encourage growth and keep her hair healthy as well as an LED face mask.

She also uses a vibration plate to enhance muscle toning, improve circulation, reduce swelling and help lymphatic drainage. In terms of supplements, Rosie swears by creatine.

Ollie, now 39, was one of the original Made In Chelsea stars with his coming out being one of the most memorable scenes from the show.

He burst onto screens in 2011 and gained legions of fans with his fun-filled female friendships with Binky and housemate Cheska Hull.

Ollie has appeared on the show on and off in the years that followed and even returned for the series which began in October 2024.

He is now married to husband Gareth and the pair welcomed twins via surrogate in August 2023.

Thanks to chopping his flowing mane, Ollie now certainly looks a lot different to the tanned and hirsute nightclub promoter who first appeared in series one.

And he’s been filmed having Botox before, so he’s not shy about promoting his love of an aesthetic procedure.

Ollie also went under the knife to pin his ears back in July 2012 and he was seen leaving a practice in Harley Street with a bandage wrapped around his head.

At the time, Dr Yannick, who performed the surgery said: ‘Mr Locke came to me a while ago with his concerns about his ears, and after a couple of consultations we decided to operate yesterday, ahead of his filming schedule for series 4 of Made In Chelsea, which I believe starts next week.’

After a brief appearance in series one, Louise became a fully fledged cast member in season two in 2011, looking every inch the preppy university student.

She was best known for her explosive breakup with Spencer before she moved on to another serious relationship with Andy Jordan.

In an interview after she left the series in 2019, the star, now 36, admitted that she used to get Botox but has now quit the procedure after analysing the risks involved.

She said: ‘I have had Botox before but I wouldn’t get it again for a couple of reasons.

‘Mainly because it can trigger reactions and that’s not a risk I’m willing to take any more.

‘I don’t want these alien substances to be floating around in my bloodstream and in my skin cells and all that stuff — I want to be as clear of that as possible.’

Louise now shares son Leo with her partner Ryan and runs a sportswear and fitness company.

The star has had a series of health complications since the birth of her son Leo who is now four.

The mother of one was diagnosed with PTSD and postnatal anxiety after nearly dying during labour.

Louise went ‘partially deaf’ during the ordeal and in 2022 revealed that she would cry up to 20 times a week.

The same year, Louise revealed she had been diagnosed with lupus, which is a condition affecting the immune system, causing joint pain, rashes and fatigue.

In 2024 she revealed she had had a ‘lifesaving’ stoma bag fitted after years of suffering from ulcerative colitis following a diagnosis in 2018.

Louise has previously spoken about her ongoing struggles with the bowel condition ulcerative colitis as well as the autoimmune disease lupus.

Ulcerative colitis is a chronic bowel condition where the colon and rectum become inflamed and small ulcers develop on the colon’s lining, which can bleed. The condition has no cure, but can be effectively managed with time.

Tiffany, now 32, burst onto Made in Chelsea screens as Sam’s girlfriend which provided many story lines – as well as her heated fights with sister Lucy.

Tiffany raised eyebrows in 2018 when her appearance at the National Television Awards left fans questioning whether she’s had a boob job.

In 2022 she did however admit to getting lip fillers in a TikTok post where she said: ‘@harleystinjectables are the only people I now trust with my lips. We did 0.4ml keeping it natural.’

Since leaving the show, Tiffany has welcomed two children with her husband Cameron McGeehan.

The pair share son Jude, born in 2023, and Heath born in 2025.
