Sydney Sweeney has long been likened to a modern day Marilyn Monroe, and it turns out that those comparisons are more accurate than many first thought.According to Entertainment Weekly, the Euphoria star, 29, is actually related to the late Hollywood legend.A new study done by MyHeritage has connected Sweeney’s father, Steven Sweeney, to Monroe’s biological dad Charles Stanley Gifford.The two men are linked by shared ancestor Ezra Perry, who lived in Massachusetts back in the 1600s.While Sweeney herself has never acknowledged any ties to Monroe, she has often channeled the Some Like It Hot starlet on the red carpet.The pair both used their sex appeal and physical assets to get ahead in Tinseltown, with both women becoming the defining sex symbols of their respective generations.
