Suzanne Shaw, 45, and Kym Marsh, 50, show off their youthful looks 25 years on from Hear’Say fame as they are seen for the first time since confirming band reunion

They’ve delighted fans with the news that Hear’Say are back together.And Kym Marsh and Suzanne Shaw showed they’ve barely aged a day since they rose to fame on the pop scene, as they stepped out for the first time since their reunion was announced. The pair dodged the heavy rain as they arrived at the Global building to appear on Heart FM, to discuss their plans to get back on the stage.Suzanne, 45, was dressed in a chic grey pencil skirt and a black vest, while Kym, 50, showed off her figure in a black shirt dress.Last week it was revealed that Hear’Say would finally be reuniting, though Myleene Klass was noticeably absent from the lineup.A new Instagram page for the band, who split in 2002, shared a WhatsApp chat between Kym, Suzanne, Danny Foster and Noel Sullivan. Ahhh the memories… can you believe it was 25 years ago?!”Ok, so hear me out…’ says Noel.Kym replies: ‘Go on…’, before Noel says: ‘Fancy getting the band back together?’The caption read: ’25 years later…’ before encouraging fans to sign up to a newsletter with ‘up and coming news’ and ‘presale’ – suggesting a tour is on the way.The post was shared 24 years to the day since Hear’Say announced they were going their separate ways two years after they first formed on reality show, Popstars.Despite only being together for a short while, the band developed a devoted fan base, who were quick to share their excitement about the news. Posting underneath the announcement, they said: ‘It’s happening! After ruining my childhood on the 1st October 2022, you have managed to reclaim the date’; ‘It’s happening!’; ‘Thursday, Thursday.. But it’s not something I can commit to at the moment.”I just really can’t. I know that they’re still figuring out a lot of the moving parts of it, and until they do that, you know, there’s nothing sort of necessary set in stone. But for me, I’m just super busy. I’m committed to you guys.’Myleene added that she looks back on her time in the band fondly, and is still on good terms with her old bandmates.She insisted: ‘I love the guys dearly. It was an incredibly important time in my life. It taught me so much. You know, epic songs like that and moments like that.’The star did say she hasn’t completely ruled out revisiting Hear’Say and will be front row when they do get back onstage, though she quipped she has no idea if she remembers all the lyrics.She said: ‘I would say never say never about anything because, as I said earlier to you guys, you know, I don’t really agree on revisiting the past.’Myleene reiterated that nothing is ‘set in stone’ yet, as far as she’s aware.She said: ‘Like I said before, until there’s things set in stone, it’s very difficult to commit to something that’s so up in the air. And I think they’re just figuring things out as well. But I really do appreciate that they came and included me.’Myleene’s comments came months after Kym hinted that the band would reform to celebrate their 25th anniversary.At the time, she told Prima magazine: ‘I always laugh and say “never say never” about a Hear’Say reunion. We might pop up somewhere, just for a one-off performance down the line, to surprise everyone.’But I think we are all just doing our own thing. We all still chat, which is nice.’Hear’Say were one of the earliest major UK TV-created pop groups, formed through ITV’s Popstars in 2000-01.The band were selected from thousands of applicants, with the formation of the band being documented on television.Their debut single, Pure and Simple, was a phenomenon and went to No1 in the UK selling 549,823 copies in its first week, setting a record at the time for a debut single.Kym left the group in January 2002 and was replaced by Johnny Shentall. The new lineup released Lovin’ Is Easy, but it didn’t reproduce the group’s earlier success.
