Longtime soap opera star Colleen Zenk was arrested last month in Naples, Florida on a pair of misdemeanor DUI charges, marking her third drunk driving arrest in 16 years.The actress, 73, was taken into custody May 15 in Naples, Florida in connection with charges of DUI causing damage to property or another person; and DUI with a blood alcohol level of 0.15 or higher, according to records from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office reviewed by the Daily Mail.Zenk, best known for her stints on The Young and the Restless and As the World Turns, was seen smiling in a mug shot taken after she was arrested. She bonded out of custody on May 16, according to authorities. The Daily Mail has reached out to a representative for Zenk for further comment on the story.In the May 15 incident, police said that a witness saw Zenk strike another vehicle with her own as she pulled out of a handicap parking spot near a Tommy Bahama location in the 9100 block of Strada Place. Soap opera star Colleen Zenk, 73, was arrested last month in Naples, Florida on a pair of misdemeanor DUI charges, marking her third drunk driving arrest in 16 years, Pictured May 15Zenk kept backing out of the spot upon initial contact, as it appeared she was intending to depart the site, but stopped when she was flagged by the witness nearby, authorities said.The soap star appeared to stumble out of the vehicle she had been in, the witness said, according to records from the Collier County Clerk’s Office reviewed by the Daily Mail.Police said that Zenk told responding officers that she had consumed two cups of wine while at a nearby establishment called Bar Tulia.The actress agreed to take part in field sobriety tests, police said, but struggled to keep her balance during a drill in which she was told to walk toward a nearby sidewalk.In a subsequent test in which she was asked to focus on a pen held by a police officer, authorities said her eyes made ‘rapid, repetitive and uncontrollable side to side movements’ during parts of the process.Authorities said that Zenk had difficulties with multiple field sobriety exercises, and she swayed to an extent there was a concern she would fall down.At that point, after receiving statements from an eyewitness and another police officer on the scene, Zenk had been arrested on the two DUI charges.A pair of breath samples she submitted revealed BAC levels of 0.206 and 0.192, authorities said, adding that her vehicle was towed from the scene and her pet dog was taken to a nearby animal services location. The truth will be played out in court.’ Zenk has pleaded not guilty through her lawyer, according to the report, and is slated for a pre-trial hearing of July 29, 2026, according to records reviewed by Soap Opera Digest.Zenk was previously arrested in connection with DUI on two occasions: In May of 2017, she had been charged with first offense DUI in Collier County, Florida, according to records.A prior arrest linked to DUI came in April of 2010 in Wilton, Connecticut when authorities said Zenk had been pulled over after she was seen driving erratically into an oncoming lane, the outlet reported.Zenk made a comeback to the soap scene in late 2023 on The Young and the Restless, marking her return to the genre after As The World Turns went off the air in 2010.
