Jake Reiner, son of the late Rob and Michele Reiner, has married girlfriend Maria Gilfillan, in the wake of his parents’ tragic murder late last year.Jake, 34, and Gilfillan wed earlier this month in what was described as ‘a small ceremony,’ sources told TMZ Monday.Last week, Jake was pictured wearing a gold wedding band during his first TV interview following Rob and Michele’s deaths.The nuptials took place about eight months after his parents were fatally stabbed in their Brentwood, California home on December 14, 2025, as his brother Nick, 32, has been charged in the double murder. Jake had alluded to his sadness that his parents wouldn’t be able to see him wed in a Substack post published this past April. ‘My parents won’t be at my wedding, they won’t get to hold their future grandchild, and they won’t get to see me have the successful career I’m still seeking,’ he said. ‘It simultaneously breaks my heart and enrages me.’The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Jake Reiner for further comment on the story. The indictment alleged that Nick had used a knife to kill his parents at their home before fleeing and being arrestedIn a hearing at Los Angeles County Superior Court last Monday, one of Nick’s attorneys, Anita Wu, revealed that $200,000 of the trust had been spent, according to NBC News.Nick is hoping to rehire high–profile criminal defense attorney Alan Jackson, who initially represented him before ‘circumstances beyond [his] control’ effectively forced a public defender to take over.Jackson, who was in court with Wu, maintained Nick’s innocence even while stepping away from the case.Judge Ruben Garcia did not make a decision about the trust money and set a next hearing in relation to that for October 23.Nick, who was not at the hearing, is due back in court on September 15 at the Foltz Criminal Justice Center for a pretrial hearing in relation to his murder charges.He has been held without bail at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in LA since being arrested.
