Paris Jackson is asking for the executor of her late father Michael Jackson’s estate to transfer $600 million into a trust fund for her and her two brothers.Paris, 28, whose brothers are Prince, 29, and Bigi, 24, said in an October 29 court filing reviewed by The Daily Mail that executor John Branca has not placed money in a trust fund the late King of Pop requested in his will prior to his 2009 passing.’More than seventeen years after his passing, Michael Jackson’s family trust remains unfunded,’ Paris’s legal team said in the filing in Los Angeles Superior Court.Paris’s lawyers said in the filing that Branca, in his role as executor, ‘continues to keep each beneficiary beholden to him with an iron grip over when and if monies are distributed to them.’Attorneys for Paris said that when she sought litigation ‘challenging the administration of the estate last year… her challenges were met with scorched earth litigation, public attacks, and a multimillion reduction in monies provided to her and her siblings by the estate.’The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for both parties for further comment on the story. Paris Jackson, 28, has filed court documents asking for the executor of her late father Michael Jackson’s estate to transfer $600 million into a trust fund for her and her two brothers Prince, 29, (L) and Bigi, 24. Pictured in 2024 in London Paris’s lawyers said in the filing that the estate’s ‘wealth is a testament to the singular talent and incredible work ethic of her father.’They added that the executor has ‘produced considerable amounts of cash’ via business moves such as ‘the restructuring of debt, certain high-risk entertainment projects, and principally the selling off of assets.’But they ‘have never presented any plan for funding the Michael Jackson Family Trust to the court,’ which ‘needs to change,’ attorneys for Paris said in the filing.Paris’s lawyers said in the filing that all three of Jackson’s children ‘were supposed to start receiving payments from his trust’ at the time they turned 21, but received ‘lesser amounts’ instead.Attorneys for Paris said ‘Michael also intended for each sibling to begin receiving outright principal distributions from the trust on their respective 30th birthdays,’ an age milestone Prince will hit in February of 2027, and Paris in April of 2028.Further distributions from the estate were noted when the children reach the ages of 35 and 40, Paris’s lawyers said in the filing.Paris’s legal team in the filing noted a number of transactions which could have provided funding for the trust, including deals with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2016 and 2018; and the 2022 sale of the Neverland Ranch for $22 million.Attorneys for Paris said that ‘this course of conduct and administration should not continue.’ The late King of Pop Michael Jackson (pictured in London) said he wanted a trust for his children funded in a will prior to his 2009 passing, lawyers for Paris said October 29 The estate, which has John Branca as its executor, said it has distributed ‘more than $200 million… for the benefit of Paris and the other beneficiaries.’ Branca pictured in NYC in 2023  Attorneys for Paris asked the court to direct Branca to ‘make a preliminary distribution of Estate assets to the Michael Jackson Family Trust in the amount of $600 million.’ Pictured in France last month They asked the court to direct Branca to ‘make a preliminary distribution of estate assets to the Michael Jackson Family Trust in the amount of $600 million, or such amount as determined by the court to be appropriate and reasonable.’Paris’s legal team also asked for ‘an award of reasonable attorney fees and costs from estate assets.’The estate told The Daily Mail in a statement in reply to Paris’s filing, ‘Ms. Jackson’s counsel is well aware that the estate is prevented from fully funding the philanthropic giving and individual trusts for the beneficiaries until several legal hurdles have been removed.’The hurdles include, according to the estate, ‘the ongoing IRS litigation where they sought $700 million in taxes and penalties from the estate.’The estate was able to secure a ruling to significantly reduce that amount, but the matter has not been settled and could still change.’The estate said in a statement that ‘the claim that the executor has withheld or “cut” payments is a complete fabrication,’ as ‘more than $200 million has already been distributed for the benefit of Paris and the other beneficiaries.’The statement concluded, ‘Michael Jackson’s will is clear. None of his children receive a distribution until they are in their 30s.’The estate looks forward to the time when all issues are resolved so that their trusts can be fully funded as Michael wanted.’A spokesperson for Paris Jackson told The Daily Mail on Tuesday, ‘The estate is once again deflecting from its own incompetence.’Paris called for the trust to be partially funded, something Mr. Branca had the ability and obligation to do long ago. After years of delay, Paris had no choice but to step in herself.’Michael Jackson died at the age of 50 on June 25, 2009 after suffering cardiac arrest in the Los Angeles mansion he was living in.
