New aerial images of Nicolas Cage’s Malibu home provide an updated look at the damage inflicted upon the beachfront mansion after it was rocked by a massive sinkhole. Three weeks ago, a sinkhole swallowed up Cage’s driveway, a fence, portable restroom, and a portion of the adjacent street.The home, purchased by Cage, 62, for $10.5M in 2024, now bears little resemblance to the luxurious, multi-million dollar property it once was. Photos show the home, which already appeared to be in the midst of renovations at the time of the natural disaster, undergoing more changes in light of the destruction.Now sectioned off from the streets, the property’s tiled patio now appears to have been removed, with only remnants of the surface left. Dirt-covered planks that appeared to be part of the patio’s foundation are now visible along the exposed bluff. Firefighters discovered the collapsed driveway earlier this month after responding to a suspected gas main break, a public information officer previously told KTLA.The hole, which is believed to be around 30ft by 30ft wide, was reportedly the result of coastal erosion.
