Mel B has said she feared something was wrong with her when she started going through the menopause and suffered ‘scary’ symptoms.
The Spice Girl, 50, told Daily Mail that she was about to see her GP to find out what was going on because she was feeling anxious and getting hot sweats at night.
Appearing at London’s Ce La Vie rooftop bar in London’s Paddington as the new global face of Revive Collagen, Mel spoke about what she’s going through.
Wearing a very sexy purple latex dress and heels, she said: ‘I was having terrible hot sweats and I remember before I turned 50, I would be sitting in a meeting going “Is anybody else hot?” I didn’t know what was going on.
‘I thought to myself… I think something is a bit wrong with me.I know I moved from LA to Leeds and the weather is cold here but what the f**k is going on?’
Mel B, 50, has detailed her’scary’ menopause symptoms and how she got more compatible in the bedroom with new husband Rory McPhee, 37 during an interview with Daily Mail
Mel married Rory, her third husband on July 5, 2025, at St. Paul’s Cathedral and she said she had to find a solution because she was suffering sweating so much at night, whereas Rory is always cold
And in fact, Mel B and her new hairdresser husband Rory McPhee, 37, came a bit of a cropper when it came to their bedroom habits.
Mel married Rory, her third husband on July 5, 2025, at St. Paul’s Cathedral and she said she had to find a solution because she was suffering sweating so much at night, whereas Rory is always cold.
So they bought an Eight Sleep Pod mattress which can cost around £3k and allows you to have independent cooling and heating independent for each side of the bed.
Mel said: ‘We do have the Eight pod because I like a freezing bedroom and I was getting hot sweats at night.
‘My side of the bed is really cold. The mattress controls the temperature and it wakes you up gently. It’s genius.
‘Rory likes everythiung really really hot, he’s a bit of a softie. I like everything really cold. I’ve always been like that.
‘I always like a window open even in winter but I needed it even colder.’
Mel said she was feeling anxious throughout the menopause and wondered if it might be a result of her past abusive marriage to second husband Stephen Belafonte.
She said: ‘It’s an ongoing thing when you suffer abuse. I wondered why I was feeling more anxious and why I was doubting myself.
I know I’ve been through a lot with my ten year abusive marriage and I wondered if I needed to do even more therapy. It’s an ongoing thing.’

Mel said she decided to become a brand ambassador for Revive after it fell into her lap and after looking into the science behind it, she realised it really works.
She said: ‘It just so happened that I was about to go to my GP and have a serious talk with him and ask what was going on when I started taking Revive.
‘It couldn’t have come at a better time – and the good thing is, it can work alongside HRT so whatever your body doesn’t need, it flushes out anyway.
‘I don’t need HRT now, not that I ever had it. But I was about to have it and investigate that.
‘Even though there is not that much research into the menopause, which I’ve renamed the MEL-opause, you have to realise that what you are going through is not your fault.
‘A billion women go through menopause worldwide every single year. It can happen at 35, it can happen at 50 and it can happen for 10 years, so what you are going through can be quite scary.
‘There is so much misinformation but it’s so good that we are talking about it.’
