Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks have an update on their infamous, long-running feud.Buckingham, 76, opened up about how he mended his relationship with his bandmate, whom he dated for four years during their rise to fame in the 70s.The pair were previously in a romantic relationship from 1972 until 1976, and when they broke up, the bandmates were entangled in a brutal feud for 25 years.Since then, however, Buckingham and Nicks, 78, have ‘healed and worked out’ their past conflicts.’Stevie and I are talking all the time now,’ he told E! News at Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood event on Thursday. ‘And so it’s really … that’s appropriate to our history.’This comes four months after he emerged for the first time since he was attacked in public by a stalker in Los Angeles. At the time, many reports suggested that Buckingham had disagreements with the rest of the band about touring and that Nicks was unable to work with him for unspecified reasons. Mick Fleetwood later addressed the firing and explained that there were unresolvable issues within the group. ‘Words like “fired” are ugly references as far as I’m concerned,’ he told Rolling Stone in April 2018. ‘Not to hedge around, but we arrived at the impasse of hitting a brick wall.’He added: ‘This was not a happy situation for us in terms of the logistics of a functioning band. To that purpose, we made a decision that we could not go on with him. As for the possibility of revisiting Fleetwood Mac’s greatest hits, Buckingham said he has no plans of doing that any time soon. ‘The memories are all mixed up with just rising about the difficulties to follow our destiny,’ he explained. ‘I can’t say I go back and listen to those albums very much, I tend to want to move forward and not look back too much,’ he added. ‘Next year should be a pretty interesting year,’ he also said referring to the 2027 release of the documentary and hinting at future collaborations. ‘Because I think quite a few things will reveal themselves.’
