A rare birthday miracle as they usually avoid the camera at all costs!’Thank you so much for all the birthday messages, kind words and wishes. I’ve read every single one and they meant so much. I took a conscious break from my phone this weekend to be present and just soak it all in and it was exactly what I needed.’As I head into my last year of my forties, I feel happier and more at peace than I ever have. I feel stronger physically and giving up alcohol has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and happiness.’I’ve found a purpose that means so much to me through my work helping to keep children safe online and I have some really meaningful projects coming this year that I can’t wait to share.’My children are happy and healthy, I’m sharing my life with the man I love and I feel deeply grateful for my family and everything I have. It was hard because the circumstances were so outrageously difficult.’That was my priority, to keep Adam shielded and protected and it was hard. I probably didn’t get to experience the joy of that pregnancy, especially not in the early days.’And sadly probably not throughout the whole of the pregnancy. I was just in fight or flight… I was just trying to get through it and just try to wake up every day and not fall apart.’Because it was intense. You have to imagine, everywhere I went, there were people… I was still in New York and still going back and forth.’The way I can describe it, I felt like I was walking around with a scarlet letter and everywhere I went, because New York seems like a big city, but it’s really small, especially where I live, which was like the Upper East side.’It was just the way that people would look at me and I was on the cover of every magazine and there were news stories about it. It was awful.’I don’t ever want to be a complainer or a moaner. I have nothing to complain about. I was the one who caused it so it’s almost like I deserved it.’It doesn’t define me but it did for a while.’Giovanna said: ‘I think this is why you were getting emotional.
