Kyle Sandilands has made a deeply concerning admission about his mental health amid the bitter breakdown of his friendship with longtime co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.Speaking on his Kyle Sandilands Live show this week, the 55-year-old radio veteran said he had been battling depression and thoughts of death.’I knew last night when I was laying in bed where I thought I’d rather die,’ he said, before clarifying: ‘But not kill myself, just die naturally.’Sandilands stressed that he is not having suicidal thoughts, but that the sadness he had been experiencing was becoming overwhelming. ‘The sadness that I’ve had for the last two days, it’s just unbearable, and I just can’t get rid of it,’ he said.Sandilands said the experience had given him a new understanding of what severe emotional pain could feel like.
