A New York-based design shop has posted a glowing review from a happy customer shortly after Kelly Clarkson claimed to have been treated unfairly by a store employee. On Saturday, the American Idol winner, 44, claimed a staffer at the store Art of Play treated her as though she was unable to afford their products in a moment she said was reminiscent of a famous scene from Pretty Woman. In the film, Julia Roberts plays a sex worker who was asked to leave a ritzy Beverly Hills clothing store by their snobby employees. The Brooklyn shop appeared to have subtly hit back at her claim by re-sharing the aforementioned review via Instagram Stories. The patron wrote, ‘From the very first time I walked into @artofplay, I felt welcomed and treated with such genuine kindness. I love discovering unique treasures and connecting with the wonderful people there,’ according to Us Weekly. The person added, ‘[Art of Play is] a place that leaves you smiling and wanting to come back. I’m already counting down the days until I return in two weeks.’ The post has reportedly since been deleted.
