Johnny Depp in discussions to return as Captain Jack Sparrow for sixth Pirates Of The Caribbean film

Johnny Depp could once again be sailing the high seas in a new instalment of Disney’s Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise.Producer Jerry Bruckheimer teased the comeback of Captain Jack Sparrow while attending the studio’s D23 fan event.’We’re talking with Johnny, we’re working on a screenplay, and hopefully we can get this done,’ Bruckheimer, 82, told Deadline on Sunday.The sixth movie in the series looks set to revolve around a new character played by Margot Robbie but execs are clearly hoping Depp as Sparrow will have a part to play as well.If it happens, it will be the first Pirates of the Caribbean film since Dead Men Tell No Tales arrived in theaters in 2017.Representatives for Bruckheimer declined to comment to The Daily Mail on the report. It’s the only character he’s played five times.’
