This decision was made under the advisement of local authorities, the venue, and my security team.’However, the Tulsa Police Department contradicted Langley’s explanation in a Facebook statement that insisted: ‘We advised the performer’s staff that we found no credible threat to the event, but they decided to cancel the performance anyway.’Tulsa police captain Richard Meulenberg doubled down in a since-deleted Facebook video, saying: ‘We would never tell anybody, if we couldn’t find a credible threat, to cancel their event. So they made the decision to cancel their event tonight,’ according to KOCO 5 News in Oklahoma.Tulsa police had previously called the issue a ‘false bomb threat call’ after conducting a sweep using K-9 officers and finding no indication of danger.
