It was another drama-filled episode of The Celebrity Traitors on Friday night – as Traitor Hannah Fry remains perilously on the edge of being banished next.Suspicions are growing about the mathematician, 42, after she was recruited by the two other Traitors, Maya Jama and James Acaster, this week – though she managed to just about defend herself at the round table. While she had several votes, in the end it was actress Julie Hesmondhalgh who was banished – only to reveal to the stunned group that she was in fact a Faithful. But as Professor Fry came under some serious heat, she made a major slip up which seems to have gone unnoticed by the group – viewers, however, certainly did spot it.As she defended herself, she attempted to explain that often in the game the ‘clever’ people often get wrongly banished because people think they are Traitors – however she referred to the loyal ones as ‘the Faithfuls’ rather than ‘we’ or ‘us Faithfuls’.Viewers then accused her of ‘othering herself from the Faithfuls’ and ‘digging her own grave’. She said: ‘I’m cautious about everybody. The mistake that we see the Faithfuls make time and time again is they take the people that stand out, the most trustworthy, the people who’ve got a reputation for being smart… and then the Faithful kill them and then you weaken the Faithfuls over all. Another drama-filled episode of The Celebrity Traitors saw newly recruited Traitor Hannah Fry defend herself during tense round-table discussions Comedian and actress Miranda Hart has been leading the crusade against Professor Fry being a Traitor and is spot on’But what I think that what we need to be doing honestly is looking at everybody, looking around the table and making accusations about everybody, not just “the most” whatever. I don’t want to make the same mistake we always make.’Those watching were quick to react as they penned on X: ‘Why did no one pick up on Hannah saying “& then the faithfuls kill them”? They banish, not kill, & in other series someone – civilian or celebrity – would have picked up on that.”So no one picked up on Hannah repeatedly referring to the faithfuls as a different group to her?!”I hope every celeb picked up on Hannah saying ‘the faithfuls’ instead of ‘we the faithfuls’ or ‘us’. Digging your own grave.”How the f*ck did Hannah get away with that at the round table? Am I the only one who heard her say the Faithful would murder rather than the Traitors?? Wake up people!!”Sorry but you #CelebrityTraitors are looking and listening in the wrong direction, did all who voted for HEAR Hannah at the round table ‘the faithful…..the faithful….THE faithful……’ if you were a faithful, wouldn’t you say ‘WE’???.”DID NO ONE NOTICE HANNAH SAYING ‘THE FAITHFUL’ NOT US FAITHFUL.”Hannah messed up big time there, othering herself from the faithful. Little slip up.’Comedian and actress Miranda Hart, 53, who jokingly compared herself to ‘Miss Marple’, has been leading the crusade against Professor Fry being a Traitor and is spot on.She shared her theories with some of the others following the round table but admitted there wasn’t enough backing at the time to vote for her – so instead she picked Ms Hesmondhalgh. As Professor Fry came under scrutiny, she made a major slip up which seems to have gone unnoticed by the group of celebrities – but viewers at home were quick to pick up on it… Professor Fry had several votes but, in the end, it was actress Julie Hesmondhalgh who was banished by the group – only to reveal that she was a FaithfulMs Hesmondhalgh, 56, and Professor Fry both found themselves in the firing line during the tense roundtable discussions, but it was the Coronation Street legend who ultimately received the most votes. It comes after the group successfully managed to banish Traitor Richard E Grant in the first week – something which has never happened on the show before.Speaking as she was booted out of the castle, Ms Hesmondhalgh announced: ‘You know how much I have loved every second of this experience. It has been immense, even chuffed to bits standing here because it is iconic. Alas, it may mean that I am not a phenomenal actor. I am indeed a Faithful.’ The celebrities reacted in complete shock at Julie’s exit, with Ms Hart admitting she was ‘so angry’, while James Blunt apologised for leading the charge against her. Claudia Winkleman said after the vote: ‘Faithful, you have just banished an innocent victim. You are doing the Traitors’ work for them. I’d say enjoy your evening, but I think that is going to be a little bit tricky.’Ms Hesmondhalgh exit sparked a huge reaction from fans as they rushed to X to share their thoughts. They wrote: ‘Julie was the best thing about this series. Absolutely cooked.”Julie you are a faithful and a phenomenal actress. Gutted for you.’ ‘Julie!! The icon that is Julie!!! She let her mouth run and she’s innocent!!”NOOO NOT JULIE!! I’m happy Hannah is still in but I reckon she’s gone in the next episode.’ Ms Hesmondhalgh wasn’t the only Faithful to leave the game, as Game Of Thrones actor Bella Ramsey, 23, had been murdered by the Traitors’Me watching the castle banish national treasure Julie Hesmondhalgh while freshly recruited Traitor Hannah Fry tries to keep her trembling teacup still… Banishing Hayley Cropper from Coronation Street when she’s 100% Faithful is an actual crime.’Reflecting on her time in the castle, Ms Hesmondhalgh said in her exit interview: ‘It’s been the experience of a lifetime, so joyful. I’ve laughed till I’ve cried, most hours of the day. I’ll really miss being part of it.’On making history by catching Grant, 69, in the first round table, she added: ‘It was the best feeling; I cannot begin to tell you how incredible that feeling is. Right up there with marriage and childbirth haha!’And Ms Hesmondhalgh wasn’t the only Faithful to leave the game, as Thursday’s cliffhanger was resolved with the shocking news that 23-year-old Game Of Thrones actor Bella Ramsey, the youngest player this series, had been murdered.
