Ben Shephard was all smiles as he celebrated his National Television Awards win with wife Annie and their rarely seen son Jack, 19, in a new Instagram snap.The presenter, 51, joined his co-host Cat Deeley, 49, and the rest of the This Morning team on stage on Tuesday as they scooped the Best Daytime gong, beating rivals including Good Morning Britain and Loose Women.On social media afterwards Ben shared a photo of himself holding the award while posing with his wife and their younger son, with Ben making a quip about his tall teenager, who towered over the star. Captioning his picture, Ben penned: ‘So special to share it with Jack before he heads to university (and yes he’s flipping enormous). And Annie too.’ Ben and Annie have been married for 22 years having met at university and share sons Sam, 21, and Jack.The family photo came after a hungover Ben and Cat were delightedly tucking into bacon sandwiches on Wednesday morning following their big night.They groaned in delight as chef Jamie Oliver cooked them bacon butties with chilli, because chilli helps a hangover, as they confirmed it was a ‘very late night’. You almost lost it, this morning didn’t you?’Ben said: ‘We got it here, might have a little graze on it, but that’s another story for another day.’ Cat said: ‘We won best daytime show, at last night’s television awards, it was just fab, wasn’t it?’ And Ben said: ‘The director was out very late last night. It was a very late night. Fortunately Jamie is over there in the kitchen.’Jamie said: ‘Smoky bacon and egg sandwiches, brown sauce and chilli. I’ve sorted you right out. I know what you need when you’ve had a long one.”You know what’s the funniest thing?’ Cat said. ‘I left quite early as I’ve normally got one of the little boys in the bed with me. He asked Jamie to explain why chilli is so good for you on a hangover. He said: ‘Chilli has a compound called capsaicin which is nature’s natural form of morphine. It’s antiseptic, it thins the blood, it’s antibacterial, it will mop up all the stuff you had last night.’It proved to be a winning night for the This Morning team when they took home the award for Best Daytime show alongside Friday hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.Former ITV golden girl Holly was one of the last to arrive on the red carpet, as she avoided Cat, Ben and the rest of the This Morning gang who arrived much earlier.
