Andy Carroll and Billi Mucklow have finally sold their six-bedroom Essex mansion after reducing the asking price by £1million, nearly two years after putting it on the market. The estranged couple put the 18th century property up for sale for £8.5million in November 2024, just months after splitting. They had a buyer lined up with the deal of £8.5million in June of last year and were set to be in for a massive windfall after buying the home – once owned by Rod Stewart – for £4.1million.However the sale fell through and they put the home back on the market for £8million in October last year.Months passed without a sale, and so in January, the couple reduced the price to £7.5million – £1million less than the initial asking price.The couple have finally sold their home nine months on, according to reports, after Andy spoke out about their ‘car crash’ marriage in his new book. It was hanging over their heads and delaying their divorce.’In the last few weeks things have really reached boiling point between the pair and Billi is really pushing to get everything finalised as quickly as possible.’ The Daily Mail has contacted Billi and Andy’s representative for comment. The huge Grade II listed building boasts four reception rooms, five bathrooms, a boating lake, swimming pool and tennis court.As you’d expect from the former Newcastle United striker, the estate also comes with a full-sized football pitch.There’s also a separate two bedroom cottage, four barns and a stables, which features a gym.The news will no doubt be a relief for the estranged couple, who have three children together, Arlo, 11, Wolf, eight, and Marvel Mae.Billi has also formed a close bond with both of her stepchildren, Emilie Rose, 17, and Lucas, 15, whom she helped raise as her own during her 11-year relationship with the footballer.
