Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay is set to return to training in two weeks after successful heart surgery.The Scotland international, 29, has been diagnosed with ‘a mild benign arrhythmia’, which is an abnormal or irregular heart rhythm deemed non-serious and posing no significant risk to overall health.Before the surgery, the British Heart Foundation explained that the procedure McTominay was having would see heat or cold energy used to create tiny scars in the heart to block faulty signals and restore a typical heartbeat. The procedure took place in Manchester on Tuesday and McTominay – who moved to Italy from Manchester United in 2024 – will be out of action for a fortnight.A statement from the Serie A side read: ‘On Tuesday morning, Scott McTominay underwent an ablation procedure at Spire Manchester Hospital.
