Disney has unveiled the name and design of its newest cruise ship, set to make its debut in 2027.
At the 2026 Walt Disney Company Annual Shareholders Meeting, newly-appointed chief executive Josh D’Amaro revealed the newest ship will be named Disney Believe.
It will join the Disney Cruise Line fleet as the fourth ship in its Wish class series, and will follow the design tradition of its sister vessels, where each is built around a central theme.
Previous ships include the Disney Wish, themed on enchantment; the Disney Treasure, inspired by adventure; and the Disney Destiny, which focuses on heroes and villains.
Disney Believe will centre on the idea of ‘promise and possibilities’, featuring stories of characters who believe in themselves.
Guests can expect experiences inspired by films such as Frozen, Encanto, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Moana and The Little Mermaid.
In a tease on its website, Disney Cruise Line said: ‘Meet the Disney Believe! Get ready to venture beyond the horizon and experience the magic of Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars in new and exciting ways.’
Disney Signature Experiences president, Joe Schott described the ship as a ‘brand ambassador’ as the cruise line ‘continues to visit more people in more places around the world’.
The announcement comes as Disney steams ahead with expanding its cruise division, as reported by Blooloop.
The company plans to grow its fleet to 13 ships by 2031, including the recently launched Disney Adventure, which began sailing from Singapore earlier this month, as well as additional new ships planned for later in the decade.
Meanwhile, British Mickey Mouse fans are in for a treat – as a popular Disney cruise ship is set to make its debut journey from the UK.
Disney Wish will set sail from Southampton to various European destinations for the very first time in 2027.
The much-loved vessel will offer a range of trips – including three, four, five and seven-night voyages. The ship will also depart from Italy and Spain.
During its sailings, the liner will stop at various destinations across Europe such as HellesyIt in Norway, Zadar in Croatia and Trieste in Italy.
Disney Wish is the entertainment giant’s fifth cruise ship and can host 4,000 passengers.
The ship’s interior captures Disney magic and boasts a glittering Grand Hall – a replica of the ballroom where Cinderella meets Prince Charming.
On board there are nine pools and guests can enjoy the world’s first Frozen-themed theatrical dining experience.
There are plenty of entertainment options too, with West End-style performances to watch, and waterslides for more action-packed fun.
