Sophie Habboo is praised as ‘unreal’ and ‘stunning’ as she dazzles at BAFTA hosting gig less than three months after giving birth

Sophie Habboo left fans aghast as she hosted the EE BAFTA Film Awards red carpet at The Royal Festival Hall just 11 weeks after giving birth to her first child on Sunday.

The former Made In Chelses star, who presented alongside her husband Jamie Laing, looked incredible in a strapless form-fitting black lace dress.

Sophie, 31, was praised by her social media followers as ‘unreal’ and ‘stunning’, as they told her she was ‘owning the red carpet’ so soon after welcoming a baby.

Jamie, 37, also had high praise for his wife, sarcastically quipping that she was ‘punching’ while posting a video of them dancing together in a hotel hallway.

The TV star mimicked Hailey Bieber by copying her finger tapping – known as the mini clap – from when her husband Justin Bieber performed at the Grammys.

Tapping his fingering together while Sophie posed on the red carpet, Jamie wrote: ‘If Hailey can do it, so can I.’

The compliments for new mother Sophie rolled in, as people wrote: ‘Oh my goodness. 11 weeks postpartum and you’re out here owning the red carpet like THAT!? How is this even real? You look sensational my darling!’;

‘A GODDESS, a BAFTA trophy needs to be redesigned into *your* face’; ‘Wild wild scenes you’re unbelievable’; ‘Unreeaallll’; Jeesus Sophie you look incredible’;

‘Beautiful’; ‘Just incredible’; ‘Gorg’; ‘Looking absolutely unreal’; ‘Wow!’.

The evening marked the couple’s return to the red carpet after welcoming their son at the end of last year.

They were dressed to the nines as they put on a loved-up display while hosting the ceremony’s red carpet coverage.

Sophie wore a black lace gown which was tailored to perfection and hugged every inch of her incredible figure.

The dress boasted a fishtail skirt with a dramatic train and she completed the look with dazzling diamond necklaces and chandelier earrings.

Accentuating her features with glam make-up Sophie wore her blonde tresses in loose waves while posing up a storm ahead of the star-studded show.

By her side, Jamie looked smart in a black suit and crisp white shirt as he put his arm around his stunning wife.

Earlier in the day the couple took fans behind the scenes, as Sophie posted snaps of her herself getting glammed up ahead of the star-studded event.

Sophie took to her Instagram Story while getting ready with celebrity hairstylist Willis Galbraith, who typically joins her ahead of showbiz parties.

The mother-of-one looked delighted to be being pampered ahead of the event as she looked cosy in a grey co-ord before changing into a stunning gown.

Jamie also shared a snap of her getting ready to his story and declared it was ‘chaos’ in their hotel room.

The clip showed the glam team around Sophie as well as a camera crew, which could well be filming for their new reality show about becoming parents.

Earlier this month, the couple made their first public outing together after becoming parents as they attended the EE x Glamour BAFTA Rising Star party.

Sophie marked the occasion by sharing a carousel of photos of herself and Jamie, captioned: ‘Mum and Dad’s big night out. EE BAFTAs Rising Star Party’.

Posing for snaps ahead of the night out, Sophie looked incredible in a black off-the-shoulder mini dress, styled with sheer tights and stilettos.

Jamie, 37, also had high praise for his wife, sarcastically quipping that she was 'punching' while posting a video of them dancing together in a hotel hallway

Sophie wore her long blonde locks in a loose blown-out style, accentuating her pretty features with a soft glamorous make-up look.

She was cosied up to Jamie, who looked smart in a black suit and T-shirt, teamed with a pair of smart dress shoes for the occasion.

The couple, who tied the knot in Sotogrande, Marbella, in May 2023, posed for a stylish bathroom shoot in their new family home in Notting Hill, West London.

The party honoured the nominees for the prestigious award, which is seen as a pathway to A-list success, with previous winners including Tom Holland, James McAvoy, Tom Hardy, Lashana Lynch and Kristen Stewart.

This year, Archie Madekwe (Lurker), Chase Infiniti (One Battle After Another), Miles Caton (Sinners), Posy Sterling (Lollipop) and Robert Aramayo (I Swear) were revealed as the nominees for the 2026 EE BAFTA Rising Star Award last month.

The event was hosted by 2024 EE Rising Star Award winner Mia McKenna-Bruce and film critic and radio presenter Ali Plumb.

The nominees were chosen by a panel of industry jurors, including actors Joe Alwyn, Sheila Atim and Benedict Wong alongside a host of distinguished industry experts.

The award was collected by I Swear actor, Robert Aramayo, at the ceremony on  Sunday.
